    Great start Luciecat63

I agree with Mrs SD Oceanspirit.
do you have a pot of cocktail sticks? Might I suggest dropping them & throwing away - that should be your 50 :rotfl:
Don't stress about catching up, just do what you can. If you feel really bad I often say to just do one thing.

I have packed up a small amounts of star anise for colleagues at work from my DS's delivery last week. l have decluttered two of the 15 jars of orange and citrus curd which DD made from the bags of oranges and lemons today and some more are going tomorrow.

Not much but every little thing helps.

    Out today:

    Wine bottles to recycling.

I used up a leave in conditioner I was using in place as shaving gel.

Various packaging into recycling bin. I put all the pasta etc... into my glass storage containers.

    Bottle of foundation used up.

I used up some gluten free spaghetti to make lunch for today and the next few days.

Stale bit of bread for the birds/foxes/rats/voles in the park.

    Going to a chazzer soon:

I rearranged my chest of drawers for about the millionth time!:D I tried on all my sunglasses in front of a mirror and two can be donated. I think I need to only wear pale coloured frames or mirrored frames only. The others were too dark for my skin.

oceanspirit - do you have a pot of cocktail sticks? Might I suggest dropping them & throwing away - that should be your 50 :rotfl: You have obviously been overworking so please take it easy :D

The cocktail sticks went out as part of last year's decluttering frenzy. But yes, guilty as charged!

You're right, every one thing counts as it's one less thing that hangs around and helps towards being able to see the wood for the trees.

    Had a good day today:-

1 x folder of paperwork sorted and lots shredded or recycled
9 x other bits of paperwork shredded or recycled
    4 x brochures recycled
1 x pack accounts paper to OH
1 x handful plastic filing wallets to OH

    Total 15

    30 x old emails deleted.

I have a target of 45 for tomorrow, but anything over 11 will be good going.

  • Not much decluttering done today
7 carrier bag full of really old cosmetics that never suited my skin and are probably really rancid by now.
8 vouchers used for online shop

I was really pleased to finally dump the cosmetics - they were mostly premium brands received as gifts and I think I hung on to them because I felt a bit guilty about throwing them. In future I will simply use tried and tested items and regift the ones that don't suit me without opening them.

Cloudy but warm all day - the sun did attempt to get through with limited success - a bit chilly tonight though. Four foxes turned up tonight  Dinner was bacon, eggs, plum tomatoes & sautee potatoes for DH & DSis - not enough for me so I had a couple of slices of bread. Have almost finished the matinee coat - need to iron, sew up, knit the collar & affix buttons. Perfect opportunity to finally use the iron I bought last year :rotfl: The cardigan now has buttons & the bag I knitted in a feather & fan stitch now has Velcro so it can be closed.

    Morning fellow de-clutterers :)

Over the last couple of days I've got shut of:

3 empty booze bottles (glass recycling)
    14 items into recycling bin
    Frying pan (into bin)
Used up a box of fish fingers, bag of potato wedges, pack of spaghetti, tin of tomatoes, some bacon, and a packet of ham

Now up to 599/2019 items gone, still a LOOOONG way to go, but I feel that today will be a good de-cluttering day! :D

    Morning all
Decluttered the cs bag, 2 pairs of Sunday socks and a very large Hydrangea plant which had grown very leggy ( unlike me :rotfl:). Also gone the dirt on the kitchen floor .
I will start on another cs bag today and "swoop and scoop" as I go around the house :j
Take care all, hugs a plenty here should anyone be in need.

  • Hi everyone
I'm still decluttering confidential papers in the work shredder - doing a bit each day :)
Also took to the HWRC a broken toaster and a broken smoothie maker plus accessories.
Still adding to my charity bag but not counting it till it's out the house rather than on my bedroom floor...
