Saturday is a miserable day - cold, windy & damp but not raining .... yet :(.
I was up in time to pay the milkman - but only just :p The baby/toddler clothes are washed, dried & folded & ready to pack in CS bag. Various bags have been washed & are now in td. DH is sitting in the Under Stairs Cupboard - he has sanded the poyfilla’d sections & is painting now. I am currently watching the final series of Sliders - 5 episodes every Saturday ;) with the odd mug of coffee & a few minutes away from the TV watching the starlings. I was also very pleased to see a robin in the front garden :D

1288 - 1289 Old ‘past it’s best’ rucksack - Tip bag (Rucksack that was ‘languishing’ in the Under Stairs Cupboard of Doom :D has been brought into use :T )
1290 - 1307 Old Jumper (DH’s); 2 baby sleep-suits; toddler denim shirt; toddler pyjamas; toddler matching outerwear trousers & jacket; toddler matching trousers & hoodie; 2 toddler hoodies; squeak & rattle teddy bear; black shoulder bag; small black bag (to clip on belt); 23 year old (never used :o) combination hold-all/rucksack; quilted & beautifully embroidered hold all from Guatemala; black metal tray & open large candle holder; 2 metal wine tasting cups; The Little Book of Buddha - CS bag

I now have 6 full bags to deliver - so next week my F*tb*t will be happy as I will be making 3 trips to the CS :rotfl:

Well Done bit by bit :T decluttering & training for the Moonwalk - 20 miles on the back of a motorbike is about as much as I could manage :rotfl: so I am very impressed by your dedication :T

Excellent work A Frayed Knot :T As you can see I count CS donations BEFORE they leave the house :o

Thank you for my Gold Star ⭐️, nannywindow :T You do know that ‘Arry needs to be released to fulfil his destiny :rotfl: I am mightily impressed with all the work you have done re your sewing & Crafting items - a place for everything & everything in it’s place :T I often think it is the ‘little decluttering & tidying tasks’ that give the greatest satisfaction ;)

    See you later

They lasted well! I love having flowers in the house. Accidentally/on purpose bought one more bunch than I really needed for my church flowers - they look lovely on the mantlepiece.
Yeah it's weird.......I kill plants, yet can make cut flowers last ages! :o
I now have the bride's bouquet in my bath from last weekend :rotfl::rotfl: Was given to son's gf and she panicked and took it.........but they stayed at mine and it's sort of been left hanging about as she didn't know what to do with it. And since I've never been given one........nor do I. Need to dismantle it today or something.....for flip's sake I'm meant to be decluttering!

Anyway managed to extract 9 items from my wardrobe yesterday when I was looking for my pirate costume, as you do :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Edit - oooo forgot that I also offloaded a hair clasp thingy that I don't use, to a friend at the wedding - another sneaky move lol!!

If any of the flowers in the bouquet are still OK, and could be dried or pressed it might be nice for son's GF (or you!) to make some kind of keepsake from them to send back to the bride. Not necessarily something that needs to be on display forever but that could be at the back of a drawer and come out occasionally to bring back happy memories.

My mum has a couple of dried flowers and a bit of ribbon in her jewellery box - they've been there for decades, and she probably hardly notices them, but would miss them if they disappeared.

I have a dehydrator so was thinking perhaps using that for the rose petals, and maybe give them to the Bride on their first wedding anniversary. I've dismantled it, kept the white roses in a vase and thee blue ribbons. The greenery in the garden waste bin and then have the handle thingy with the oasis attached. Bet flower shops don't bother taking these things back hey!!

Think I can cound the greenery as a declutter item since the bouquet is a LOT smaller now?? :rotfl:

    AFternoon MrsSD and all

This week I was able to fill large bag with recyclable bottles papers etc..and also another large bag for the charity shop.

Slow slow quick quick slow but its all adding up.

I have a rocking chair thats way too big to put in my car to take to charity shop...I had some items picked up a few weeks ago large pieces of furniture and had them collected but Im not sure If I want to ask them to come and pick just one item up. Will wait and see if I can think of any other bits I should get rid of.

House becoming a little bit more manageable but still finding that the dining room table is difficult to stop things piling up during the day.

Have to try better as the teach would have said :)

Congrats on tackling your cupboard of doom Mrs SD - it's so satisfying getting something done you've been dreading isn't it?

I took 3 bags of outgrown kids clothes to a neighbour last night for her son - it was great to finally get them out of the house as I'd sorted them out a week ago and not got round to delivering them.

We were supposed to have a swing collected today that we'd offered to sometime on a recycling Facebook group so poor old hubby went out in the persistent rain to dismantle it. The recipient then got in touch to say they weren't coming today because of the rain! I poured him a big glass of wine as compensation (and they were very apologetic). They should be coming tomorrow to collect it though so it'll be gone soon and we have a bit more space in our little garden.

Keep on keeping on everyone - we'll get there!

DH finished the painting & has put down carpet tiles in the Under Stairs Cupboard. Tomorrow he will put shelves in & a hanging rail. All the paperwork hidden in the cupboard has now been sorted :j All the shredding has been done - mostly by DSis & I emptied the shredder bin 6.5 times  Dinner was pasta bolognaise.

1308 - 1313 Empty beer can, cardboard box, 2 drinks cans, 1” of paperwork - Recycled
    1314 - 1321 Old paintbrush, 6 x 0.5” piles of shredding, offcuts of carpet tiles - Binned

Well Done savvy :T - did you find your eye patch as well :rotfl:

Well Done sweetpea26 :T waltzing round your house :p As long as the dining table is clear before you go to bed, I would count that as a success ;)

Hi guys, been MIA for months - MH issues, Rl, etc - but getting back to it this weekend (hopefully!).

Need to de-junk the back & little bedrooms, so that the littlies can go into separate rooms at last (9.5 & almost 12!!), lots of work to do that'll take me a couple of weeks at least. Lots of BIG stuff to shift, but tomorrow will be a day of deciding where to start, and, like eating an elephant, doing it bite by bite...

Since my last post (early Feb?) I have got shut of stuff, but not kept a tally, so tomorrow (sorry, later today) is a new start. I know I can still achieve at least 2019 things gone this year, even if I count bags full rather than individual items. :D

Still trying to catch up on umpty weeks of the thread, back later today...it's been nice seeing how folks are doing - keep it up! :)
