    Morning all!

I'm feeling sluggish today after decluttering a bottle of red wine with the OH last night. I did manage some more useful decluttering over the last 2 days as well though!

Yesterday saw another bag of books go to the charity shop and on Wednesday I sorted out the 6 year old's play kitchen which had become a bit of a carp dumping ground. All broken items and useless nonsense from party bags were binned and the remainder cleaned and tidied. I just need to persuade the boy that he's outgrown it now as his 2 year old cousin would love it and I would love the space! No joy on that yet...

This morning the boy's school were doing a 'bags to school' collection and as they accept things like bedding and towels I filled a bag with some stuff we no longer need and took that along this morning.

Every item out the door is another bit of space I'm getting back - physically and mentally. 😀

Been over 10 years since I re-cluttered from Mum's home and have been trying to sell/donate/give away ever since. So emotional, and there are things I love but would either never use or put on show in my house so they have to go. Very hard but working on it.

I fairly new on here but have read on a few posts, that if you love but let go, then take photos of the item before decluttering, that way you always have the item (if you know what they mean). :T

Back at work now, so slowing down somewhat, however will keep going.

So much for rain today - it is a beautifully sunny day but with a stiff breeze & some grey clouds.
DH & I have had a flurry of activity :D Tidied up the work surface in the garage - everything is back in its rightful place. An old plastic toolbox has been emptied of useful items & is now full of detritus - destined for the Tip :T Plants have been watered, the 2 new pest proof bird feeders have been filled & put up - the pigeons hate them :rotfl: The delivery boxes have been broken up
& recycled, I have cleared a path to the ‘Under Stairs Cupboard of Doom’ & we are now having a coffee & girding our loins to attack said Cupboard :rotfl:

    1171 - 1173 Three cardboard boxes - Recycled
1174 - 1175 Pair of curtains, ceiling light fitting - CS

Well Done chocolatebum, choille, Ginmonster :T

So right A Frayed Knot - photos are a good way to remember when one can finally let go :)

    We've got your rain...

I've left my mum's (she's promised to call the CS for a large item collection and arrange to go to the tip in the next few days), and she's probably relieved to be left undisturbed for a bit!

I've brought some stuff back with me, although there are a few bits that need to go to my brother as he either forgot them or didn't have room in his car (there's a fairly large, fragile picture). I'm hoping that a couple of old leather suitcases will work as storage for blankets and duvets etc. I know the smaller one will - the bigger one may end up being donated. But I have to unpack first!

Well done all in your efforts.
It has hard when you declutter from MIL house. I still have much from mine which DH doesn't want to get rid off but will never use it look at and complains about lack of space!

A TV has gone to DS2 in the last week and a wardrobe shoe hanger and some spoons to DD. I also turned two sheets into a matress cover for my friend's campervan.

Not doing much at the monment as in Moonwalk training. I need to do 20 miles tomorrow and then rest up a bit. I am a bit behind due to one thing and another.

I am at the CS on Sunday morning so several more bags will be going out then. They are already in my car along with a repaired toy, all ready to go.:T:T:T

The rain came but only short, sharp showers - shame I had no washing as the breeze would have made quick work of the drying in between showers :rotfl: The ‘Under Stairs Cupboard of Doom’ WAS tackled :p Guess what ............ not as bad as feared :rotfl: Apart from lots of coats & motorcycle jackets and a steam mop, the rest of the ‘stuff’ was already boxed or in Organiser Files. DH took out a box at a time & I went through it - ruthlessly - if it was not too time consuming  myself :D I have 4 boxes left to sort but these are full of photos, note pads, letter paper, cleaning products & LoTR chess pieces - still packaged  Decisions will need to be made on whether to put various items on Bay of E or donate - decisions, decisions :rotfl:
We found all sorts of items INCLUDING our birth & marriage certificates which I have been looking for, for the last 2 years  The last place I would ever think to look  and :o

1205 - 1220 Seven non working pens; ood date stamp; 4 used to destruction td sheets; large bag of general toot; 2 broken Organiser files; broken pottery dish - Binned
1221 - 1227 Old crash helmet; 2 scratched visors; old chin skirt (for crash helmet); damaged back protector (for bike jacket); 2 damaged/old leather jackets - Tip bag

DH has already pollyfilla’d any holes in the under stairs cupboard, also vacuumed & wiped down the walls & flattened out the points of nails (poorly built by F*irv*ew ) He will be painting it tomorrow, putting down some carpet tiles & sorting out i.e. building some shelving & a hanging rail.

Well Done greenbee, Barny1979 & villagelife :T keep up the good work :D

Morning all,Large pile for CS in waiting to be picked up - will not list until gone from house.

4 parcels to post and just 1 yesterday - all good.

Off shopping today with my mum as she is off on holiday in a fortnight and looking for
some last minute odds and ends, but we are visiting a shop I like, so may have a look at
their kettles and toasters, as mine are in need of replacing, but still plenty of life in them yet.

    Morning all
Just wanted to give MrSD a gold star for clearing her "Understairs cupboard of doom" :staradmin. I think "Arry Potter " is still living in mine :rotfl:
Today I have cleared/cleaned my fridge and found the remnants of a pot of cream which was on the turn and similarly a pot of greek yoghurt, now both emptied, cleaned and in the recycling bin.
My rummage through the stuff from under the sewing table was fruitful, some bits and bobs, including clip strap buckles and webbing straps (which DH wanted to keep as spares) have been gathered up and stored correctly. I have put a pair of fleece PJ trousers ( never worn and was intended for a craft project that I never started  ) in the cs bag and some bits of material have been folded and put into the cupboard where it should have been in the first place . Mea Culpa :o. I also found a couple of errant buttons, now in the crafting button jar and a few small items have been resigned to the bin :j. Small steps but at least they are all going in the right direction.
Right coffee time is over, so I'm off to clean the bedroom and the upstairs, scanning the horizon for more things to declutter as I go :j.

    Happy decluttering all.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
