You cannot use an ITAL code for a POPLA appeal. This is all very new, check out this, which was posted earlier today.

From threads on pepipoo.com we have come to understand that Indigo now use ITAL, not PoPLA, and the BPA are OK with this.

It all comes under the general term IAS, which means Independent Appeals Service.
The scammers can use any one they like as long as it is an accredited scheme such as PoPLA, ITAL, IAS (The IPC name for their IAS), Ombudsmen Services, or any other they choose.

So, you won't get a PoPLA code from Indigo but an ITAL (asparking) code instead. If you try to use the IATL code in a PoPLA appeal, the PoPLA system will reject it and tell you it is not valid.

In other words, you are stuck with ITAL not PoPLA. We have no idea f the ITAL assessors have any parking charge appeal experience as they were set up initially to deal with alleged rail fare dodgers etcetera.

We have only recently discovered that Indigo are now using ITAL for (allegedly) independent appeals, not PoPLA, which they are perfectly entitled to do. They could use any accredited (:rotfl:) independent assessment service they like.

So, you cannot appeal to PoPLA, and if you try it will be rejected.

You now need to appeal to ITAL. We have no experience of this but the advice on other threads so far is to construct an ITAL appeal exactly as if it was for PoPLA.

Show us your drafts before you submit them.

Well my plan is to group all 6 together (got another today from Indigo total is now £600) and then send it off to both ITAL and POPLA. I mean ITAL have Indigo’s logo at the bottom of their website how biased is that?

The total I should have paid in parking tickets is £51 so that’s more than a 120% markup

The question is when do I send it. The company ipaymypcn refused 3 PCN’s and supplied a code on the 31/12/18 without the discounted rate

Indigo has supplier 5 completely different codes on the 9/1/19. So which set of codes do I go off of? I haven’t appealed my 6th yet

    Thanks again for the help

I haven’t appealed the 6th as of yet

You CANNOT appeal to POPLA; the pepipoo thread shows that it will be thrown out.

Why not use ALL of the ITAL codes, several appeals, and cost them money?!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

only in the eyes of indigo

however its not worth the wasted ink complaining , as a complaint will take longer than 6 mths

Interestingly ITAL doesn't appear on the list of approved ADR providers.
