Many thanks DNMS bionics are making themselves known, it's the closest dose to IV treatment, just having to take things slower.
Local hospital appointment this morning, what a nightmare, don't understand the funding issues and even admitted they didn't understand the surgery I needed but wanted to send me somewhere else in England when I have been with my spinal unit who are excellent and ahead of the game for over 4 years, I think they have realised that neither myself nor the GP will back down on this. Determined not to let it wreck Christmas but did ring bestie after really worked up.
Going out for a Christmas meal with DD tonight at the local garden centre that has an amazing restaurant........plus I have coupons:D
Thought while I was at hospital which is in the next town that I would get a few things sorted including picking up a parcel from Matal@n. Picked up some reduced socks and a birthday present for DD in Feb.
Really winding down in the house now. Said any paperwork can wait until after Christmas now.
Cats are all stocked up and fridge full of fresh stuff. Just have to pick up turkey on Christmas Eve.
Banking all checked, got the thread up, remembered quidco-all checked and then popped back:)
Managed to get a load of cardboard out for recycling, has made some room in the house and recycling box. Recycling guys must wonder how I've always got so much cardboard, comes with my medical supplies. Cleared the living room a little bit.
That's about it from me. Have a good evening everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks foxgloves, it was our best year yet! 5 more days until xmas, her birthday and she is managing to keep her mood on an even keel, 2nd year running
If next year continues in this vein, after last year being good, I think we can assume her massive dip in moods around her birthday/Christmas will be a thing of the past. A good 10 years of this time of year being hellish so it is very welcome signs at the moment! Her therapy is really helping her. I'm thankful for these blessings!

Evening everyone :hello:
Welcome missyfree - just jump on in. We're a friendly bunch, and always keen to support and help out.
HK - so sorry to hear about all of this rubbish you're going through with your treatment. What an awful situation to be stuck in.
DNMS - pleased that you've had a good day today, and I hope that this is permanent progress for your dd. Brilliant news.
Lots of love to all the poorly folk out there...
I have had a good day today. The end is finally in sight at work - just one more morning to go, and the kids have finally started to settle a little bit. The Head and Deputy Head had a couple of treats in store for staff too - they came round during the day with a tea/coffee trolley and biscuits for us all. Plus notes written by the kids to say thank you to members of staff, which I found really heartwarming. I am surprised to have made such an impact on some of these kids.
Got home and had a couple of surprise parcels in the post from friends, plus two very welcome letters. My decree nisi, and my child maintenance letter. Progress at last!
So I've had a gin to celebrate, but still am going to have an early night so I can get through tomorrow at work. Not giving up

Morning purps
last day off in this stint until Sunday evening when I'm off for 7 days
(Just need to get through Sat & Sun!)
Things for today:
*[STRIKE] payday today so will pay bills/piggies [/STRIKE]:D - I toted up accounts for the year and I have put almost £5k in saving/mortgage overpayments this year, that is not piggies and not bad seeing as I'm on a fairly low income
* [STRIKE]finally finish trousers.[/STRIKE] I was going to do this last night but felt tired and didn't want to make any silly mistakes so I dyed a shirt insteadWill also repair a pair of pj bottoms with a tear in & finish madam's dress
* we are going to be making a gingerbread house today
* do 2 repair jobs
* bff & my godson coming for dinner. Need to have a look in the freezer to see what we can have!
* get food & clothes ready for work for next couple of days
* save my knitting. I fell asleep on it and a whole needle came out
* take pup for walk this morning & then hand over to co-sharer
* onepoll - determined to get the last £4 in the next month! I bought a new winter coat yesterday :j I love it! It was in sale and cost me £45, originally £90, so that £40 will be very gratefully received!
* nice bath & early night I think!
Ok that's my lot. Happy Friday guys :ADF as at 30/12/16

Morning all
Ended up babysitting yesterday evening, and then not sleeping very well, so shattered atm
Anyway, onwards and upwards - today's plans:
Fold dry(ish) washing, hang in airing cupboard and put the airer away Done
Did another load of washing and got it almost completely dry outside as it was dry and windy :T
Get Christmas tree in from front garden, ready to decorate with GD (it might need to dry off a bit first though ) Done, GD coming along tomorrow to help
Do some cooking - mince pies and gingerbread stars planned for today - I already have the ingredients! Done, also made cheese biscuitsMade loads. so OH has taken a few bits round to his friend across the road who lives alone (though surrounded by family, but they don't bake and he likes HM things)
Check banks and update spreadsheet Done
Finalise shopping list - not going till Sunday, but need to get organised. It won't be a big list, but I don't intend to be going shopping for a while after Christmas! Managed to get delivery slot with Iceland :j - they don't stock quite everything, but enough so that I can get odd remaining bits at the market on Sunday morning. If they don't have it at the market, we will do without it! No horrendous supermarket trip needed, hooray :T:j
Sort out fridge, which didn't get done yesterdayIn progress
Think what to do for dinner It was pasta in tomato sauce from the freezer, with salad
Not intending to spend anything todayStrictly speaking I have stuck to this - Iceland won't take the £35 odd for the shopping delivery till tomorrow (arriving tomorrow evening)
Better get on and make the first batch of pastry and get it in the fridge to rest! All done, kitchen a bit of a disaster but I am just about to tackle that
Received a £5 voucher from RM surveys for participating in an additional survey. I have quite a few pounds worth of these now. Have decided to save them for shopping in the New Year once the December spendfest is over!0 -
Morning all! Happy solstice!
HK - I hope your treatment gets sorted soon x
CCL - last day! I hope it's a good one
DNMS - I'm glad you had a good time with your DD and that she is making progress. Gutting on the knitting needle disaster!
Dawn - I hope you get a nap. Sounds like you have a nice day planned
Missyfree2017 - welcome
Purps, foxgloves and BB and all the other posters and readers - big festive hugs and here's to no lurgies over Christmas!
After winding down all my work so that I could leave with a clean sheet on Wednesday, everything went crazy at lunchtime and I was there til 8.45pm
Productive day yesterday but no chance to get online. We were going to go for a walk and look for a yule log today but it's grey and wet so I think we'll leave it.
I've got an uber list that will be rolling along over the next few days. I feel excited to be pottering about and productive though. Some of this was done yesterday :- B/L/D from stores all days! (we are trying to be a bit frugal this month as Jan/Feb very bad for OH's work and he is self employed. No work - no money!)
- Make a meal plan until new year - done
- Do shopping for meal plan and stick to budget - done
- Reconcile budget sheet - done
- Paid early so move money to savings until "true" pay day" - done
- Pick up wine for MIL - done
- Wash bottles and put into new box
- Put away giant mound of washing - done!
- Do a white wash - done

- Ice the Christmas cakes - done
- Make mince pies
- Make sausage rolls - done
- Finish knitting sock - am on the toe now - done!
- Wrap OH's presents
- Wrap rest of family presents
- Print off free handmade sock wrappers - done

Many thanks for ur thoughts everyone, I have to admit I feel like I'm taking a bashing mentally, physically and emotionally and now looking to take legal action against the health authority.
I think that's the most frustrating thing was everything was planned, really detailed planning, lots of time, money and resources spent ready for the surgery. Been with an excellent spinal unit for 4 years and the red tape and paperwork changed meaning that I cant back to the spinal unit. Medically I start going downhill but still cant get back to the spinal unit but my local hospital not known for having the best of reputations just doesn't care and hasn't helped at all. The poor GP battling on my behalf isn't even my main GP and when I apologised for the waste of her time and resources she just said she is used to it and deals with it everyday with this health authority:mad:
I am going to use Christmas as a breather ready to carry on the fight after as one thing I cant afford to do is back down but it is moving more towards legal action and medical negligence.
DNMS u made me smile when u said about totalling up the accounts. Nothing makes me happier than when I've got the books out working out how much money I've saved. Looking forward to doing this on New Years Eve:T
Went out for our meal last night-vouchers were used saving us £9.:) It was a carvery and there was so much meat that we asked for foil to take the rest home, they brought us foil and a box. Another lady saw what we did and also asked for some foil:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The garden centre already had discounts going. We wanted to pick something up for my mum but they only had the display left so ended up being given a double discount bec we bought the display model.
Just about ready to go out to get a few bits done in town then come home and pop a curry in the slow cooker using some of my veg glut.
As fast as I'm tidying up DD is trashing the place so I have given up and just enjoying her being home.
That's about it from me, have a great day everyone and many thanks for ur kind thoughts again xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
