  • Evening everyone :hello:
One down, four to go - and Friday lunchtime cannot come soon enough for me. The closer it gets the wilder the kids are getting and the harder they are to deal with. Today wasn't too bad, but the younger kids are up the walls.
Haven't gotten much mse stuff done other than to finally get organised for Christmas and decide that apart from my online food orders I don't need anything else at all. Not another present for anyone, and nothing that I have to get finished. I just want to have a go at one more batch of cooked goods but I already have the ingredients done.
Spent £10 getting my outside light repaired today as well. I was fairly sure it only needed a bulb but the bolts were incredibly rusted and I thought I was going to have to replace it. But my lovely man that fixes stuff for me sorted it out. Apparently it took a couple of hours but it is working and I feel safer having followed the police advice of getting it sorted.
Plans for the week ahead include surviving work and getting an early night every single night. Roll on Friday.
  • Morning all :hello: just checking in quickly before I go off to work. I managed to get everything done on my list yesterday. Just 3 more presents to wrap I think and 3 present/cards to write. Also managed to wrap a couple of birthday presents. Full day at work today so little chance of much as I'll be away tonight too. But I will:
Take a double box of snacks so I'm not tempted tomorrow from work
Work buying me lunch and dinner today and friend treating me to to lunch tomorrow so not all bad.
    Check banking
    Hot drink for commute
Used pre used tin foil to scrunch up in bottom of sc to sit my rolypoly pudding on
Hand deliver a card and present tomorrow
Deliver a gift through someone else today to save postage
    Check for surveys later
    Post fleabay sale.

Think that's about all I can think of for today. Purps. Have a good day.

Morning Purps :D yippee non working day today :j (actually I've got 4 days off and so happy! I'm so bored/fed up with my job but the working pattern is a real draw with wanting to explore setting up a business based around my sewing! Might start keeping an eye out for what there is out there in the NY)

    Today I intend to:

    * all meals from stores
[STRIKE]* go through cc statement and work out what from what *pot*[/STRIKE] phew that task is done! when it was all broken down in to pots it wasn't too bad, about what I expected. I'm still about £30 under my Christmas budget that I've been saving for all year :D
    * make some hummus, freeze some chickpeas
    * triage the fridge
    * crazy hour cleaning. Want to sort out madam's room (and secretly get rid of a few toys - the amount she has is ridiculous!)
    * knitting - gosh really need to get a move on with this second sock! I hope to get down to the heel by the end of the day! Wish I was in Carrie's enviable position!
    * sewing - want to do more of my overlocker lesson, take in waistband of some trousers and take in dress I got for madam
    * listen to podcast while going about my life
    * madam going to school disco this evening. Her friend (and her mum, my friend) are coming round after school to get ready together - too cute!
    * wrap some presents tonight

Ok that's all I want/need to do. Happy days to you all

I hope you concentrate better than me then! The gusset is looking a tad untidy as I keep fluffing up the decreases! That serves me right for knitting tired! I don't think my uncle will notice though, and it will hopefully look a bit better after it's washed

    Hi December Devotees,

Morning!:coffee: Lovely day off. Got loads done yesterday. Hoping to keep up the momentum today. It is howling a gale out and pouring with rain so I may not stray far today. Bought two charity shop jumpers yesterday. Great prices and one was nearly new.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Defrost leftover chilli for lunch. Will have with a jacket potato, probably. Done.

    * Clean fridge with Stardrops and washable cloths. Done.

    * Make crepes for breakfast. Done.

    * Clean oven and grill pan with Stardrops. Done.

    * Clean dish draining rack with boiling water before we both come down with Ebola. Done.

    * Look at what's in freezer. DW shops. I have no idea what's in there. Decide what to make for dinner later. Done. Made a chunky soup from an unidentified meat which we'll have with dumplings later. Could be beef, could be gonk. What's left can be blendered and frozen for lunch later in the week.

*Read secondhand book from local independent bookshop later if I achieve all my goals. Owner has an amazing selection of reading material.

If there is no struggle there is no progress.

    Morning all :)
Firewood delivery this morning, and I am relieved to have made space in the garage for it. It will eventually need to go in the wood shed close to the house, but as it is delivered to the lane at the back of the house (next to the garage), and it is always me who has to scuttle up and down the garden path with wheelbarrow loads of logs, I am not feeling the love this morning, as my hip is hurting and it is windy and raining :(I did end up scuttling up and down the garden with armfuls of logs due to OH being so anal about the look of the woodpile to just leave it in the garage (we used to have a roll eyes smiley on here, and I could really do with it back)! :rotfl:Got wet.
So, not a NSD as there are logs to pay for.
Also need to go into town, post a load of stuff and get some more food and present bits. Planning to get grocery bits from Iceland, as I have a few pounds saved on my bonus card, and some shopping vouchers from RM surveys. It isn't anything Christmassy, I am done with that except for fresh veg and stuff, but boring things like frozen peas and teabags. Just have to buy another couple of little pressie bits for GD1. Done, got wet again :(
    Other things:
Checked banks and updated spreadsheet Done, but now need to update spending diary etc after today's spends. Determined to spend nothing tomorrow!

All meals from home, dunno what to have for dinner though :oMade OH cook, seemed fair after I got wet twice! Just jacket potatoes, tuna mayo and salad, but tasted ok!

Pull up and cook last of beetroot from garden, dinner will be salad then! Done, was wet anyway, so why not?
Chop up and freeze rest of enormous cabbage bought at the weekend. Not done, but did inspect it, and it is fine where it is for now :)
Check fridge for anything else that needs using or freezing All ok atm
Ought to do some more housework, hip and firewood permitting OH did some dusting after the firewood debacle :rotfl:He also wrapped a couple of presents :)
    That'll do I think!
Received a £15 Amazon voucher for a survey thing I did a few weeks ago :)
  • Morning

Everyone here has a cold, it has hit us quite badly. Sisters family had it first and are still suffering. Both myself and OH were awake at various points throughout the night, often for hours at a time.

Thankfully no plans to go out today until this evening and that is in walking distance.

    Today's list:
    Make muesli
    Make bread
    Soak porridge
    Make soup
Make banana bread, to use up black bananas
    Write tomorrows shopping list
Turn off lights and appliances not in use
Put kettles on stove when lit
    Home educate children for free

Not sure how much I'll be up for with the combination of lack of sleep and fuzzy head due to the cold.
Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

  • Baileys sorry to hear everyone has been hit by a cold, it's the last thing you want before Christmas and with everyone going down with it, I hope it doesn't make for a miserable time for u.

I'm back on more antibiotics....story of my life.......surgery funding still being sorted :(

Weather is awful here so popped from Morris@ns which was really quiet. Apart from cat litter and picking up the turkey Christmas Eve I'm done, that's it

I felt like I was spending too much money, updated spends book yesterday but actually im on target with all spends and I've got alot in including 3x 29p cauliflowers!

Everything else done, tree going up tomorrow or Thursday

Always have an afternoon trip out with bestie before Christmas, more for bestie to get last minute bits but will just be nice to go out without stress and don't plan on spending anything. That is planned for the end of the week.

DD treating me to a Christmas meal out Thursday evening, will be nice to relax and enjoy
Working tonight and then that's it until after Christmasl

Really need to keep tying up paperwork loose ends and tidy the house which is a bit of a tip.
Have kept on top of RM surveys

Cant think of anything else.....just off to check quidco. Always forget until I see Allys list!
Have a good day everyone x
