My new supplier advises that it can take app 6 weeks for your previous supplier to complete the financial side of the switch.

I only received my new together tariff on 23rd December. Can I refuse to pay the tariff before then since I should have been informed in their first contact? They managed to transfer my DD straight away (which I also cancelled straight away) but it took them 10 days to give me my tariff.

No, Together has the right to bill you for usage from 14th December onward using the deemed tariff that was agreed with OFGEM. There was no requirement for Together to inform you of this tariff prior to it becoming effective on your supply.

I'm considering switching from Together, rather than waiting for them to get their act together, but I was wondering what will happen to the credit from OneSelect - will that automatically be sent over to the new supplier, or is there any risk of that going missing? I was about £100 in credit with OneSelect when they folded, so I don't want to lose that.

Your OS credit will be repaid by Together minus any energy bill/usage with them before any switch is completed

Even though I have now moved to So Energy, I still feel "attached" to Together - who knows when they will send me an invoice??

They've got 12 months to bill you.

You're lucky you only had gas. My switch was supposed to happen today but it's definitely not happening.
I sent an official complaint to Together Energy but I don't expect much.

Now for trying to get an ACCURATE invoice for the Gas I consumed from 14 December'18 - 24 January'19.

The account I am responsible for is also moving from Together but you need to reset/be more realistic about your expectations.

I have no idea how good Together are or are not but it generally takes several months for suppliers appointed as a SOLR to resolve and issue bills/refunds to customers of the failed firm.

I don't think there is any guarantee Together will make any further progress before any switch is completed.

My switch to a new supplier completed earlier this week and I'm none the wiser about any OS credit or charges from Together for the brief period I was with them.

Agreed, any refund won't be made until after the switch had been completed and perhaps not for some months afterwards - I simply meant the amount refunded would be net of any energy used while with Together Energy.

Hello All, I received a email from TE, has got a online account with them at the moment? If you do, are you seeing the credit you have? also, the company is more expensive than one select, is it too early to switch?

Last communication from Together was 5th Jan:( - effectively all that said was the account should be set up by 8th Jan.

I gave them another 12 days beyond that ,then began a switch to a slightly cheaper tariff (but longer fix) with Yorkshire Energy.

No sign of an online account, account number or the credit carried forward from One Select altho' I did manage to download a statement from the OS website before they went down which showed a carry forward credit of ~ £42:)
