I went onto confused.com, they listed the Together OS Dec 18 tariff.
For me powershop came in at £300 cheaper.

Also nothing from together regarding account number or online access, although they have taken 2 direct debits of £115 each...

Or the Joint Administrators needed to incur some expense to keep those systems online and decided that wasn't in the best interests of the companies' creditors.

No replies to any of my emails either. Even the one telling them why I had cancelled the DD with them. They sent a generic email saying I had cancelled it and if there was a problem, to email them or call them :rotfl:

Ditto. Still no replies to any of my emails over the last nearly six weeks.

My own view (for what it's worth:)) is that Together have bitten off far more than they can chew!

The OS bill which appeared for a short time on the OS site, has vanished -and no signs of Together getting us logged in - I haven't been asked for details for a DD after cancelling the OS one -and no sign of them attempting to set one up.
My move away was started 5 days ago, and the new supplier have already sent me 3 emails re the switch!

I cancelled OS DD but TE set up a new one and have taken two payments this Month, one beginning of Jan as I made no payment to OS in December and the other on the 18 th of this month even though my payment date should have been the 22nd. My switch to new supplier is still due to go ahead in 5 days.

I agree - to the extent that I am feeling very relieved my switch away completed on Tuesday.

To be fair, its not just Together who are struggling to cope with these SOLR transfers.
I was with Iresa when they went kaput end of July; got moved to Octopus who I subsequently switched away from in early September. They still haven't raised a final bill after nearly 4 months.

Then I was briefly with Usio being transferred to First Utility on their demise. I have an initial bill covering the end period with Usio but nothing yet for the rest of the time up to my move to One Select in mid November.
I wonder if the hold ups are over internal disputes between Utility Cos. over start and final meter readings - despite the involvement of the "verification" step by a third party.
  • I think you should tell this story to one of the newspapers. If I follow you, since June 2018, you have been with SIX different utilities:

    IRESA

    OCTOPUS (SOLR)

    USIO

    FIRST UTILITY (SOLR)

    ONE SELECT

    TOGETHER (SOLR)

I suspect you will transfer from Together to your 7TH SUPPLIER in 7 MONTHS.

    That is quite an ordeal.

This type of situation could easily happen using one of the "self switching" firms - I doubt they would be of any help trying to get final bills all sorted out.

@merchcon 55 - yup, on my way to 7th leccy supplier since July 18. HOWEVER, unlike some who post, I'm on the right side of the credit/debit balance as in rough terms I owe £280 to the three SOLRs:)

You should also warn us which will be your 7th supplier as you have an unerring facility for spotting those about to go out of business.
  • Smart man - better to have the money in your account than in their accounts.

I was looking through my One Select folder when back in May I made the decision to join them. I had a choice at the time to go with a firm I had never heard of before (One Select) or a small but established firm with decent reviews (So Energy). One Select were about £70 less for the year - I do regret my decision, but can't turn back the clock.

In retrospect we all should have left One Select when we heard their parent company in Holland had lost their license.

At least no one had to freeze when any of these firms go bust.
