Had a couple of big months with an inheritance and my annual bonus (which was more than I expected), so changing my target to £100k please. Tillytidying is definitely my secret weapon. Things may change if we can persuade the next door farmer to sell us a couple of acres so we can keep alpacas to go with the planned goats and existing chickens, but that's only in the beginning stages so far.
I agree, Tillytidying is game-changing. As I started to feel a bit better off I began tidying to the next £50. Magic snowball and all thatSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

This thread has useful information on what it is all about
Yes that link is the essence of it. I now round mine to the nearest £50 each time I check - I don't check daily though. And recently someone on another thread suggested one of the banks offers this as a tidying-up sweep into your adjacent savings account. I think someone may have said there is an App that you can set up to do it.
I am a bit old-school though and part of the fun for me is doing it manually (much less an obligation and more of a pleasure, if that isn't a guilty pleasure to confess to)
We built up our £10k emergency pot this way and it pays for our house insurance, and overpays our mortgage once a month. I am counting this in both my mortgage OP accounting and my savings but I just have to be careful not to double-count it.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Declaring £2,000 for June, partly 'proper' saving, partly shares doing well.
I've just changed S&S ISA providers and I had a hairy couple of weeks where 70 grand disappeared into the ether and was in neither account. Apparently this is normal and small fry to them, but it was a worrying chunk of my money!
Also prepaid for another holiday; I'm getting the hang of this semi-retirement now!Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:
