Wow i've been quiet! In march my first child was born and it's been a roller coaster ever since! I also ended my work with the client at the same time, so March and April weren't the best months for saving. However I've managed to squirrel away £1,200 in June, I've some catching up to do to hit my target :XSave £12K in 2019 # 17: £2945.00 / £12,000 (24.54%)0

For June I have the MOT and Car insurance both due, with further lean months ahead.Save £12k in 2023 #17: £19,085/£24,000 (79%)

#100 reporting April and May:
April: -£800
May: -£600
Which takes the savings pot down to -£458 for the year so far
Job change has been taking longer than I'd like frankly, but I don't regret my decision to leave my last job: if anything, my only regret was not moving on a little sooner in hindsight, as it became clear I needed to eventually.
This would be a painful transition period; OH works but depends a lot on me financially, there is not much more we can cut back on just now, and still we dip into savings to pay regular bills and the mortgage which is a bit of a worry.
There is light at the end of the tunnel, though! I'm starting a new job in a couple of weeks, and the salary includes a substantial pay rise. So when this is said and done, we may end up being better off in the long term. In that sense, it does feel very much like an investment.
I've been holding off on reporting the figures a little, but wanted to give an update that is true to the reality.0 -

Always useful to take that dose of bitter hard medicine called truth. Makes gratitude during good times all the more easier. Hope it all works out well!

I forgot to update my target after all the kerfuffle of the last few months, now updated. Looking to save £62,000 so just over 9k to find over the next few months. Tough target but June has begun well with one maturing regular saver which will fund the extra two I have just opened, plus will finish off an interest free card payment which will help.Save 12k in 2020 #19 £12,429.06/£14,0000

I missed entering figures for Mar, Apr & May due to being totally disorganised
Finally managed to enter the amounts adding up to a total of £2775 for the 3 months.
