#157 reporting savings of -£400.99 for this month. That figure is not as bad as I expected. I have had to pay out £975 for holiday accommodation, so even though it's a minus figure I am still over 100% of my target for the year. I will have some other outgoings for breaks in the months to come, so will have to see what happens. Update form completed.0

Only £250 for me this month. I decided to put my bonus into my pension and ever since then I seem to have been spending my bonus still. On the plus side £7k saved so far this year.
It's great to read everyone's progress - keep on saving!0 -
#114 here. Form submitted and reporting a £5,861 save for July. Thanks,0

#105 reporting £1133.70 for June - really happy as that's my best month so far, and there was a holiday in there too!0

An average month over here - £275 saved, plus a £6.31 mortgage overpayment
This puts me at 65.5% of my target at half way through the year, woo!
I love that so many people are still reporting - it really helps me stay accountable!0 -
Just sent in my update for June. I managed to save £779, which I'm really pleased about. It puts me just under 50% of my year target, so I am hopeful I will be able to hit my target at the end of the year.
I mentioned last month that I was made redundant... well I've been very lucky in landing a temporary job for now and I only had 1 day out of work. The temporary job I'm doing is well paid too... yearly it equates to around £7k more than the job I lost! So I'm going to stash what I can from it for now until I land my next permanent role, which I don't expect to be as high as this role... but I can hold out hope!
Good luck for July everyone!0 -
Alja, that is excellent news - well done!0

Wow, halfway point! I’m not saving massive amounts but am way ahead of where I thought I’d be at the start of the challenge. So interesting to see where everyone else is as well.
I’ve just tucked away £80 for June. Less than I’d managed in previous months but I’m finally repaying my home improvements loan so everything will be a little tighter from now on in.0
