No 68 - just posted my update form. Things will get slower from here on in as DH retired on Friday so neither of us is working now. We might exceed our total aim for the year but I will leave it as it is (it compensates a bit for all the people who join the thread and are never heard from again )

£1,123.09 saved in July - £1000 of that being my LISA bonus for 19/20 as we're currently in the process of buying our first home. We've payed the solicitors disbursement and mortgage broker fees this month as well as buying a sofa for our new place so all in all I'm happy with the amount saved!

Total for the year so far is £3,512.97 /£6,000

    hi all,
#88 reporting for July, £718.84, would have been a cracker of a month but saw a bargain flight to Japan, always wanted to go there and am now able to.
Best wishes to all for this month, keep up the good work

Hi everyone, we're reporting £1519.05 for July. Some deposits paid for holidays later in the year, so that made a dent. But one trip is partially work-related so I'll get some expenses back next month I hope.

August is looking a bit expensive - car insurance to renew plus its MOT and 3 new tyres. On top of that we've got the builders in to fix a damp wall/leaky back door - we get a lot of 'weather' here in the lake district and when you see snow blowing in, well it's not ideal!

    Happy saving everyone.

No. 15 reporting a total of £1,692.96 for July, bringing my total for the year so far to £6,327.35, which I am happy with. I'm going part-time from September and also have a trip to visit family coming up, so am not sure whether or not I'll reach target, but we'll see. :)

    £516.35 for July...

Dismal month all round, really. Financially, extra travel costs added in for trips for funerals and visits to support bereaved family. To add insult to injury, the car decided to break its suspension as well (aided subtly by me driving it straight off a steep curb because I was tired and sad and not really thinking....).

August should be quieter, at least, but the balance for my holiday is due so will be reporting a wildly negative amount but hopefully for more cheerful and positive reasons.
