Geoffers, I was paying about £250 pa to Charles Stanley. I think they are very good, especially if you are doing a lot of buying and selling individual shares. Me though, I just use some of my ISA allowance to buy into a Vanguard fund every couple of years (and I won't even be doing that anymore when I retire). It then sits there untouched.
My new provider (IWeb) was £25 to open and transfer into, and £5 per transaction. They seem to be fine if you don't intend doing any complex dealing. I was pleased to see I'd made £700 odd when the fund was sitting in the transfer ether so I didn't lose out in the interim.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

No 78 declaring £1131.81 for June which takes me over half way to my target. Just over a quarter was interest but the rest was just what I kept squirrelling away.
Also got an unexpected bonus this month but am keeping that back for holiday spending this year.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

I'm generally finding it harder and harder to keep track of my savings as the number of accounts increase and hence more accounts I got to keep track of! I remember only a few years ago my saving was super simple with only a few accounts to remember, now I've got several accounts to maximise interest as well as 0% credit card which I'm stoozing (acknowledging this as a negative balance on my savings).
I also find that my savings spreadsheet just gets bigger and bigger and bigger! (I add a new column for every new account I have, with details of the account in the top row. Info such as interest rate, maturity, any early exit penalties etc)..
Great numbers elsewhere, happy saving all! :T
Reporting £421.56 for the month of June.
Just got back from a lovely weeks holiday, which explains why my figure is lower than normal for 2019.
Great saving all and hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett
