    Morning all,

#49 confirming £720.00 paid off so far for March.

We're going away for a few weeks so will see what else we can chuck at the mortgage when we get back.

Thanks julicorn for running the thread and for everyone's encouragement

Thank you all for your updates!

Now that most of the February updates are in, I'm pleased to say that between us (and with a tiny bit of negotiations), we could have bought this 3 bedroom detached house in Blackpool, right by the sea (with just our January + February overpayments:

Excellent work, everyone! Let's see what kind of house we're looking at later this month ;)
  • Thanks Julicorn,

#11 reporting in with £1250 for February,

The extra cash will help with the negotiations...

#43 op for March is £1280. Total balance of the mortgage is now under the 10,000 mark. Mortgage freedom smells very close now. We are aiming for August 2019 but this will be hard to achieve although not impossible. Trying to cut back on loads of things and ebaying everything that's not pinned down lol. This thread definitely helps to keep the mind focused.
    Mortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁

Negotiations definitely possible, it's been up for sale since November. I did ask for something by the sea, so thank you. This house ticks a scary number of our 'next house boxes' location isn't great, but not impossible, although I'd quite like a better garden. House itself would really work for our quirky requirements.

    Thank you.

Wonder what we'll be buying by December?
