The solution is to have the sender pay the tax before posting, or to mark the item as a gift.0

OK, so what have HMRC replied to your written complaint to them ? What has your MP got to say about it ?having a large post count means nothing if you add nothing constructive, infact other words from my previous post cover this perfectly.
My earlier post offered a solution to the problem but you would not like it as it would cost you more, around £65 on top of the duties.0
