    Hi,

On Phones4U webiste I found a really good deal for Samsung phone on O2 18months contract for 400 minutes and 500 texts. Normally £30 pm but is with cashback offer of 16 months free. It works out only £3.33 pm effective.

Just want to know how good Phones4U are when giving the cashback money cheque within time period. I am with onestopphoneshop now and had no problem in receiving my cashback cheques.

    This is a good deal.

Cashback Kings offer £65 cashback for taking up a contract mobile phone at Phones4U. Don't know if this offer can be combined with the 16 months free line rental offered by phones4U but if so, it means you'd be £5 up at the end of the 18 months!
  • Phones4U is it easy to claim cash back?

dont u get any wap access included?

I`ve just spent the last half hour reading this .. its mind bogglilng. I have a cheap pay as you go phone which suits me. Our daughter who will be 12 next month would like a phone for her birthday. Should I go with pay as you go to see how she manages or look for a really cheap package that will have her xx texts and xx calls. Does anyone do £10 a month contracts for say 6m?? or is that really being cheeky. Earlier in the posting it mentioned about Virgin, we have the tv, broadband etc with them. Not really sure where to start. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the link nokia-user66 I`ll check it out.

Can anyone please advise me how these cashback offers work! sorry to sound a bit thick but my phone is pay as you go and I top it up about £30 a year! some of the deals look really good especially when its mentioned they work out at only a few ££ a month. Do you have to wait till the end of the contract etc to get the month back - first time doing this want to get it right but want a good deal that give her the most texts etc each month for minimum pay out buy mother.
All advice is very much appreciated. Thanks
  • Yeah right mobile phone are a good site to save yourself some money on your mobile phone. Ive used them twice before. Basically they are a price comparison site dedicated to mobile phones but have the most deals compared on the internet.

I can't get excited about mobile phones I just want one to be as good a package as possible with as little hassle! They just need to ring people :D

Cashback works in two ways tho. You can get cashback where you have to redeem in stages which can be awkward. Ive done two things in the past. Ive gotten a free gift which is effectively your cashback when I was wanting to buy a particular item in anycase. At the time I got a sony playstation portable for free which at the time was worth a fair bob and got it within 2 weeks of getting the phone. The last one I did was instant cashback. Seems like the levels are less than the regular cashback but you get the cash straight away. It really depends what your after as everyone has differing circumstances.

If your after a top of the range mobile phone the deals with gifts and cashback don't tend to be as good as a handset thats been out a little while. To get the most back if you aren't bothered about a particular phone go for the older phones. Thats always been my findings when ive looked.

    Hope that helps :T

  • Thank you, cashback at the beginning or some gift that may be useful sound like a good idea, the phone I`ve seen is really girly its a sony ericsson S500i white with flowers on it... phone may be rubbish as I don`t know about phones but it looks lovely! (sorry typical woman.. thinking my daughter will love it) but she may have other ideas that are `pink`.

As everyone want the cheapest package that gives you the most. I`ll start looking round, also out shopping on Saturday so I`ll pop into a few shops and see what they can do! (I`m quite good at buying and bargaining for new cars so hopefully a phone should be a doddle! but we can only see!!)
  • Yes I saw that review as well. Do you think I should be looking for something with a better camera I see its only 2meg and I know some seem to be 5 or 6!
  • Hmm im probably not the best one to ask about this but 2 mega pixel I think is standard whereas smart phones are usually 5 megapixel. Actually I even think there is an 8 megapixel camera phone. Not too sure who it is though. On the other hand I know the Apple iPhone is 2 megapixel.

If your after really good quality though you would need more than 2 megapixel. I think there are ranges of phones which are dedicated to really being a camera phone and some are dedicated to being music phones (ipod on your phone).

Now confused!! eeekkk she does like to listen to her music - so maybe this is something I should also look at. Think I have a long slog infront of me.

    Thanks for the advice
  • No worries!

If your after a music phone id advise you look at the Sony Ericsson W phones - stands for walkman. They are the music ones. I used to have an older one and back then they were good so id imagine they have moved on since then.

    Good luck :)
