buymobilephones have been around for years and years. I have had one or two contracts with them. They seem fine but i did have the following problems.
It took a long time for the claim to be processed, you have to send in the original bills and they dont send you reminders so you have to remember when to send you cashback claim in.
Other than that they are just fine in my experiance.0 -
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a mobile contract and, using one of the great links above, I came across this deal: http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/fulldetails-r346212930-230814.ihtml?adnetwork=af&adnetwork=af
Has anyone ever used these guys before (buymobilephones.net)? They claim to pay the full sum of the cashback upfront within 30 days? Similarly, Mobiles2yourdoor pay you the full cashback after you return something to them as well.
Are any of these to be trusted?0 -
this is how they say it will work ...
"Automatic cash back will be paid by BACS directly into your bank account. This payment will be made automatically approximately 90 days after your connection Date. There's no redemption vouchers and there is no need to make a claim" this mean all in one lump sum0 -

Oops, that'll teach me to not read properly
I think I'll go with them then, as they seem fairly safe. Just need to find the best plan that gives me unlimited texts now!
:j Thanks for your help

Been on the phone to orange a fair few times over the last couple weeks but very happy with the deal i have managed to get! My current contract was 500 mins x-net & unlimted txts for £35. I was set on the new Sony C905 as i really want an iphone but they really are just too expensive. Orange despite 4 or 5 calls are standing solid on the c905, only available for free on £30+ contracts or £250 on a dolphin 20 £20 contract...hmm not worth it! During these phone calls the guy was tryna haggle me - at first offered me several 'b' league phones for the same current contract but for £15 line rental...hmm tempted. Had a think then rang back today - spoke to a diff person & went over same things & the guy offered me the nokia 6500 classic for the same mins & txts for £5 (five quid!) month rental!
So i've got 500 x-net mins & unlimited txts plus the nokia 6500 for £5 a month, bargain! altho i really wanted the C905 i'd be daft to turn that offer down - will save me so much money! Woo!0 -
Be carefull when using comarison sites they do not seem to look at the supermarket type network suppliers! ,If you only search these they will not find any deals which can be 50% less than the ones it does find from the main suppliers!

Check out the tariffs yourself:cool: on the suppliers own site!
Bye

Hi All,
I'm just wondering - in the cheapest mobile phone article it says:
Cheapest way to break your contract
If you're still in your contract period, you can port the number to a new provider, but you'll need to pay the monthly fee until the contract ends. To save money, always reduce your package to the lowest tariff and either pay it off in one go or let it run until you're out of contract. Some networks will only allow this once if you’ve had the phone for more than six months. One well known TV researcher thanked me as she’d saved £100s by following ths tip.
My contract on a three pay monthly service (£13 per month) ends on April 5th 2009. I would like to end my contract now with three, but maintain my number when I move to another provider. I offered to pay the £13 * 5 months remaining on my contract to end my contract now, but was told that the £13 is actually £30 minus a £17 loyalty bonus so if I want to buy out my contract it will actually cost me £150 more or less.
I was also told that I couldn't just run down my contract and port my number to a new provider now - i.e. I can throw my phone in the bin, pay out the £13 * 5 months left on my contract over the next 5 months, and go out and get a new phone from a different provider now, but if I do this then three won't give me the necessary codes to keep my current phone number.
Does anyone know if the above is legal / within the offcom's guidelines?
Any advice appreciated - I am fed up with three - within a couple of months of my current contract the handset they provided broke with what was clearly a manufacturing fault, and yet despite 10s of phonecalls, and sending the handset off under warranty, they have refused to replace it or offer me an upgrade at anything approaching a competitive rate!
Thanks,
Adam0
