I'm looking for a new deal on an android phone. Current contract is a Samsung Galaxy Ace, 400mins, 500 texts, 1Gb data, 12month contract with talkmobile. £30/month but with 9 months cash back by redemption from mobiles.co.uk (all worked reliably so far), so deal works out at an effective £7.50/month. I'm looking for a similar contract, maybe the Ace 2. I know that was an almost unbelievably good deal, but can anyone suggest a good value contract that would meet my needs?

Just went to new deal from giff gaff sim (£5 per month) in my old phone. Old phone playing up but was 3 years old. Went for cash back deal with mobiles.co.uk (been around 16 yrs and have used them for a previous cashback deal - all ok).
Linked sale through Quidco - £50 cashback on rate of £8.75 pm
Ordered refurb HTC Desire S (great phone- looks new to me)
T mobile 24 months 1.5 gb data, 50 mins calls, 250 texts - but there are other options to have.
So I get a REAL free phone and save with my last provider (£10 with data giff gaff sim only)
    One happy customer !

    Hi,

My son has 1 more year to go on his contract with 3 and has managed tolose his phone, Samsung Galaxy Europa I think. Have put a block on it and they said it would be a fiver for a new SIM and we'd need to purchase another phone from our local 3 shop.

I think it is £65 for a similar phone but Carphone Warehouse has one for £40 but a £15 top up is needed.

Does anyone know of any other deals at the moment which wouldn't involve having to buy a top up and would be suitable on 3?

    Many thanks

Who has the cheapest deal on a phone with say £10 credit on pay as you go.

Not fussed about the phone as long as it's simple as it's for my 80 yr old dad.

I appreciate this question has been asked on numerous occasions but here is my twist on it.

I have a friend who is recovering from a major illness, their finances are virtually non-existent, they don’t want to sign up for a contract, and they would have no more than a dozen numbers that they contact. They don’t send texts and don’t use the internet.

At the moment they are on a PAYG tariff with o2, I’m not to sure what the plan is. I’m wondering what is the best, most economical, package available to this person given all the above information.

I’m probably the person they contact most often and I have two phones on a Vodafone contract. If I could add them to my account on a PAYG basis I would but I wouldn't want to take responsibility for paying their bill, it would have to be PAYG.

There are that many options and plans it is almost impossible to decide which is the best to go for. Any suggestions? Minute wise lets say 300

Adding to an account without taking responsibility sounds unrealistically.

You can try making use of Vodafone Family option.

    1 minute costs at least 6p: http://mobilenetworkcomparison.co.uk/compare/
On a 1 month contract you can get 300 for £8 at http://www.talkmobile.co.uk/simple.html or 250 for £7.50 at Tesco mobile.

I am currently a blackberry user...and hate it! I am wanting to change to an iphone and my contract can now be renewed. Im not too fussed about getting the iphone 5 but just wondered whether i should wait until its out before getting an iphone 4s as am thinking they may be cheaper?

Im on a pay monthly contract.
    Thanks
