Does it have to be an android smartphone? there are roughly priced at £150, a blackberry is roughly priced at £120.00, there is also Sony Ericssons and LG phones!

I've always been a PAYG customer, having tried various ones over the years, I am now with 3 while they offer really affordable deals on PAYGO option is not proving to be cost affordable and am over spending, I am on the 15 p/m- 300 mins, 5,000 texts and unlimited internet. But I am over using the minutes by alot, and, I don't wanna go on SIM only had a really bad experience with Orange.
I was debating the contract idea but they seem to be ridiculosly over priced for the minutes and texts you get. I also need an upgraded handset was thinking may be one of ebay, Cnex, or Gumtree.
Anyone have any suggestions of what is the most cheapest affordable option?

For the airtime? How many minutes+texts+Gb you need then?
If you exclude all contracts then the only real alternative is giffgaff

Hi - looking for some help really. Son's contract ends soon and he wants an upgrade from his current blackberry curve 8520. Anyone know what is a decent one? He's with Virgin at moment and probably wanting to change as coverage isn't the best where we live. Thanks in advance for any help

Sorry was just wondering on people opinions of other blackberry's? E.g. Have read that blackberry 9900 has rubbish battery life.

I would be roughly wanting to spend £20, £25 at a maximum.
Minutes-500+
Texts- 500+
Gb- Minimum/moderate use

Seen this deal on 3 (£23 + £25 deal looks reasonable)

But am nervous about locking into a contract deal for 2 years, have heard so many stories with being over charged and the bills are never exactly as advertised.

Wow what an excellent website :T. I'm currently hunting round for my husband who wants a Blackberry 9900 for free for as little as possible a month.

He's currently with Orange and the contract is up on the 27th June - he pays £21 a month at the moment and we'll obviously try to get a good deal out of Orange retentions first but using this website the other option is Vodafone (coming in at £20.50 per month).

Just a quick question as he's never had internet data before would 100MB be enough? He basically wants emails pushed through to the phone instantly but he's not into facebook or anything like that. He will not use the internet much on his phone (well he currently doesn't anyway).

As BBs are known to compress data, I think 100Mb will suffice, but it is worth keeping your eye on the used and remaining allowances. And if you have wifi at home make sure the phone is connected to your router.
