Hello,
I'am new to this site, AND I DO NOT WANT TO PUT OR SAY ANYTHING that will get me into trouble, so what I read here is peeps are asking about deals and what they have used on mobiles, I have been using a company for almost five years for my mobile and I have been happy with the prices this is all I can say at the moment as I really do not want to be spamming or doing wrong.0 -
Hi all
I'm looking for a phone/sim to use for a charity - I am on the committee of our village hall and we are considering using a mobile for people to contact for lettings etc. Probably few outgoing calls and maybe a few texts. Any suggestions please? I currently have a contract with O2 for £11 a month with my HTC android phone but have just come back from France where they have a 2 euro a month deal on one network!0 -

That said, for a few calls and texts it's easier to PAYG at 8p/4p:

Re the handset, cheapest ones cost about at tenner.0 -
Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I will look into the Vectone one, I think, as it is brilliant if we can use a phone for £12 a year. Thanks again - that was really helpful and saved me a lot of research! Most grateful.0

Have a look at Ovivo Mobile | Set your mobile Free !0

Thanks again - can't see that this is cheaper, though. We are likely to be using this comparatively rarely, so the lowest cost is the best, I think - unless they charge for receiving calls...0

One-off £10 is definitely cheaper than 12x£1, let alone 24x£1 etc. Especially considering that you'll get 100 minutes every month instead of 50.
That said, nobody can guarantee that free Ovivo will last forever.0 -

Do you want the ability to divert the number to other members of the committee in peoples absence ?
Not a mobile but a completely free UK 01/02 number you pick area of your choice. You can divert it to voicemail and when a message is left sends you an e-mail. Foc. www.sipgate.co.uk0 -
Grumbler - Wow, I didn't read that right! Didn't realise it was a one-off payment...
Thanks again. I have to get the permission of the committee before I can go ahead anyway, but this has given me lots of ammo!0 -
Nifty - I really haven't thought this through... I will have to get on to some of the committee members and talk to them about what we will need to use the phone for.
Once again, thank you so much for your knowledgeable assistance. Really grateful.
