70p going in the pot this morning0

Good evening!
Payroll have messed up my pay since I went back to part time from full time in November... It's being re-calibrated this month, but that means my next pay packet will be teeny tiny. I do manage to save money each month, but it means that next month (unless I dip into my savings) there will be minimal potting.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -

My car has actually been iced up on the inside this morning!
Eeeeeeeeeek I know this is not good
Need to look up ways to try and sort this out, bad enough having to scrape the outside of the car in the morning :rotfl:

I put a hot water bottle on my dashboard while scraping the outside and then put it on my lap when I drive to work!LBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

Ok datlex, that will be fine putting it in the safe, a lot safer for sure and do long as you're happy that's all that matters!
Just reading through about your OH along with Vicky and another of our members (just can't think of her name!) you're all in the same boat re wages wrongly paid, maddening to say the least!! Well done re you and your OH though datlex!
Ah I see exactly what you mean, Iheart, well done! I'm not well up on Beatrix Potter, so how many are you hoping for?
Good for you in spotting that 1p!!Take care, everyone, and do keep very warm as it's going to get bitterly cold esp from tomorrow on!!
Hello James, lovely to see you again!Re the snow: if you're over to the east or higher up country then, sorry but you'd best be on the lookout for more of the white stuff! Also, this colder weather is set in until well into February. I'm a bit of a weather buff and love everything about it, especially snow and frost. I've always found that whatever the weather - find a reason to love it rather than loathe it, it really helps.
Ooops! I've just read about how you have to dress to go from one building to another at work whatever the weather!!!!! Oh my word! Needs must I suppose but...! I bet you're glad to get back to your lovely warm home at the end of each shift! :grinheart
With all you said about your dear Mum shows what a truly loving and caring Son you are. Wherever you went, I hope you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves and have a splendid meal, especially with it being your 50th!A very happy 50th birthday James!!! :j
It was marvellous to hear how sweet your workmates were!! As comes across here on SPC too, you clearly are a smashing chap James! Very well done with your pot savings, and how very wise to save the rest for your holiday in March, an excellent month I assure you!!
Take great care of yourself until next time James. xx
Very well done with another 70p potted, SSDD23!!!
A brilliant idea with the hot water bottle, Deni, especially driving with it on your lap!
Very well done with your potting!!
Have a smashing WEEKEND, folks!! Pot whenever possible!! :j
Sue
NB folks: Opening date for SPC 12 will be 31st October 2019

Hi Sue-UU, hello everybody,
Well only four weeks in to the challenge and I've already lost track of how much is in the tin. I'm pretty sure I put something in a fortnight ago but can't find a post to support that. Maybe I dreamt it!
Anyhow #58 putting $1.20 in the tin today.0 -

Bought a book on Friday, and was asked if I wanted to use any points on my card (Waterstones)
I said yes and was surprised to find I had enough to cover the cost of the book (7.99)!
Then yesterday I did some shopping for a friend which came to £5.99 and she gave me £6. So after another gain of 1p I was able to pot £8. :j
