Sold £26 on Facebook yesterday, but used the coins already! Have just put £30 and a few coins in the pot instead.
Will probably empty once and month and put in a bank account. Does anyone else do that?Previous debt: £14K :embarasse Debt free: Sept '03MFW#42 Mortgage OP savings £4271.18/£12000 2019

Hey everyone
Well £10 in the pot for me yesterday as I wasn't feeling too good so stayed at home. Staying at home means no spending so being ill does have its benefits :rotfl::rotfl:
Bit of shopping needed today so only 23p in the pot, but it's all adding up:D
:jYou've got to be in it to win it!! Just believe to receive!! :j

Well my pot doesn't seem to be filling very fast. Not really been out or spent anything this week to have any change and OH doesn't seem to have any lying around.
Think I need to get a bit of a crack on.

Hi again SPCers, I hope you all had a really good Wednesday! :j
To all those of you who are unwell or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart
So, an expensive week or so, datlex, but a fortunate one also! From your Total so far, it sounds as though you're pleased you joined us, brilliant work!!!
It's good to hear you're feeling much better now, DukeOfSomewhere. Very well done with the potting! All best wishes with your banking and I hope you do well in getting your household bills a good deal lower.
A very happy New Year to you also, and you're right, it's going to be a lot colder from tomorrow onwards, lasting through until February!! Get those bills down, but do keep yourself warm enough!!Saving_Glut wrote: »I could have parted with £10 yesterday, instead I thought of this challenge and £5 of this was relegated to my little pot. I may need another pot soon!
Also, I honourably resisted popping a lone 5p left on the kitchen window for about a week. Then, I gave the little thing a home in my SP! No owners have stepped forward to claim it yet!
I'm so chuffed that SPC kept you from blowing that £10er, Saving Glut!!! :T Great work also with the 5p... and I wish you well in your need for a second pot!! Good news about your £6 sale!! Be proud of all your savings!!
It's good that you and your OH are in this together, SSDD23, because together you'll do very well!! :dance:Great potting!
Fantastic work, Dolly... especially the smoosh!!Still sounds more than a bit strange to me.
Ah there you are again, jakes-mum! "Sue's SPC Memoirs" could quite possibly include young Jake, but won't as he was under age at those times!! :rotfl:
Fancy your little Lily being 11 already, good grief!! Good for her in finally hanging on to her roadkill!! Your Jake's teacher got it right when foreseeing Jake's future. I'm so glad he's so happy.
Well done with your potting... whatever it was! A very belated though happy birthday to young Lily. :T
Never a dull moment here in our rural piece of England either, siju! However, I'm hoping we don't have uninvited visitors such as yours! Good luck with hubby's pockets, if they're not nibbled!!! :rotfl:They way you have things planned sounds ideal!
Well done with your sales, MushyPeas, and of course it's ok to bank your pot contents every so often. BTW. You didn't read my first post did you, or you wouldn't have asked the question!! Naughty!
It's perfectly ok to combine any of the MSE challenges with SPC, dawnyblue!
Very well done, weenapoops! I hope you feel very much better today.
That's £2 more towards your Total in October, Homegrown!! :jExcellent.
Not to worry, Llynsey, as we're not all able to save every day - I'm not!!Hubby and I only go shopping once a week as we live in the country, but whatever the reason, it doesn't matter when we save or how much we save, the important thing is that - we save when we're able! Be proud of all you can save!!!
Read through my post above to Llynsey, Lifeisforliving, and be chuffed to bits with whatever you save!!Just been to do a physical shop, the first one in years and boy what a eye-opener. I could have spent loads of money on carp had a case of information overload! Still have my heavy shopping being delivered on Saturday but have added 21.57 to my pot.
YAY on the amount you've saved in your pot, Babs!!!!! :dance:Isn't it a shell-shocker when it's the first shop for a good while! If anything though, it helps us to hold back a bit. I'm really pleased your heaviest goods are being delivered for you, and the carp is still on the shelves!! :rotfl:
Very well done on popping another £10 in the pot, Robin!! :j You must be saving so very well!!!Have a lovely Thursday!! Pot whenever possible and keep as warm as possible!!!
Sue
