41p in the pot for me today.
Also got a Tom Kitten 50p in my change that I cant bare to pot!0 -
Managed a whole 12p...:rotfl:, change from my shopping trip this morning. I also started another pot that I am just saving £1 coins in as I find they are always useful if you go on holiday or out for days, for car parking or tips or something. So hoping to save them separate to my SPC, as they will probably get broken into in May and again in November when we go away.DMP 2015 £57,549, now £36,112 (37% paid)
EF £200 Mortgage OP's this year £115

Swapped a pounds worth of change from the pot for a pound coin from my purse this this evening. Budgeted weekly takeaway. Means I can be more precise on my spends on that. Potted a £5 note as well and some spare change. Will pot any left over funds from the takeaway.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

I added some more change to my jar today and now have £61.60.
The jar I’m filling up is about 1/3rd full so I’m hoping that by April I’ll be able to completely fill it up and deposit it into my bank account. I have a spare current account that I don’t use so will put it in there so I’m not tempted to spend it.CC Debt:£450 Emergency Fund: £1,500 Sealed Pot Challenge 2020 #042: £750 -
Payroll have messed up my pay since I went back to part time from full time in November... It's being re-calibrated this month, but that means my next pay packet will be teeny tiny. I do manage to save money each month, but it means that next month (unless I dip into my savings) there will be minimal potting. Thankfully my trip to Dubai is all covered for Feb half term, but the little treats like erm, my hair cut, will be tight. Back to normal for the Feb pay day, I hope!
Anyway, I'm making hay whilst the sun shines. DH lost £1 from his jeans pocket, 90p potted from a coffee I didn't have out and my SW £5er is potted.
Since I had my dream about potting 10 x £2 coins (note the word DREAM!!!), I haven't seen one of them. Rats and blast!!
What a pest that is, Vicky, but be that as it may, instead of worrying about not potting for a month, I reckon you should be thinking "Rats and blast" (your expression not mine) and moving on. Focus more on your time away to Dubai and really look forward to enjoying yourselves without any problems at all! :jThat's what you deserve and it's what I would be doing if it was me, truly!
Well done with hubby's droppings and your SW and your no coffee gains, you've done brilliantly!!When do you jet off?
Evening folks, I hope you all had a lovely Friday! :j
To all those of you who are unwell or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart
Not to worry, NannyG, you've obviously done your very best in searching the house, but there's no more to be found. Look forward to when you're able to go out shopping again, but for now be pleased you're at home and keeping out of the cold!!
I hope so Purplemumof2, it usually gives great incentive, so all the best to you!
Very well done, Iheart, though I'll be interested to hear what will come of the Tom Kitten 50p! :cool:Take care, everyone, and do keep very warm as it's going to get bitterly cold!!Lifeisforliving19 wrote: »Managed a whole 12p...:rotfl:, change from my shopping trip this morning. Ah but that 12p is better than nowt, Lifeisforliving, and a whole lot better than if it had been spent!!Good luck with the £1 pot, not a bad idea, just don't forget to include what you save in there when you declare at the end of October!

Some very good potting, datlex, but rather than take your money out of your pot why not use a "Holding Pot"? See the 1st post for details.Take care, everyone, and do keep very warm as it's going to get bitterly cold!!
An excellent idea, Loz, that's the way most of us do it as it saves leaving too much money in the home.
£15 potted just as soon as the shopping was done!!!Have a smashing WEEKEND, folks!! Pot whenever possible!! :j

Sue- UU It would all be in the holding pot as I don't know what change I will need each week as depends on what I need to buy and indeed how the change comes.
Still tonight I added over £6 to the stash. I have over £60 in it now. I never normally have that amount of cash about. What I may do is put some of the notes into my safe once I reach the £100 mark (It was here when I moved in).
I have been able to save some extra as certain planned spends have not been needed.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Sue - I am keeping the Tom Kitten 50p. I have the Benjamin Bunny one and one of the Peter Rabbit ones. I am a massive Beatrix Potter fan.
Found a 1p coin in the self-service till at Tesco so nabbed that and potted it today!0 -
Morning Sue, fellow potters
Left for work last night and noticed the light snowfall, the first for us (last too I hope!), I was dreading the ice this morning, but thankfully there was none. I worry sick about my Mum during the bad weather, but glad she has started to use taxis when she needs to to do a little shopping or visit the library.
Speaking of Mum, we are hopefully going out to lunch today to celebrate my 50th birthday. When I was little, she always took me into the city center, just to a particular cafe/restaurant where we would have fish & chips. She told me that this cafe had been bulldozed years ago to make way for a new road layout or something, but we will probably go to one of the other three trillion cafes instead
Savings? Just a few bits here and there. But then last night at work, my workmates revealed they had had a whip round for me & collected £147, a few prezzies too. All the pound coins (£27) will go in my tin, whilst the notes are going in my bank account, towards my holiday in March.
Hope everyone is keeping warm, my heating is on all the time now, although at work it's getting really chilly especially in the early hours before dawn. The worst thing is if you have to walk to another building during your shift, you have to take your overall off (put it in a bag) and go over in a t shirt, there's no option to wear a jumper or your coat, simply not allowed (being food production).
Anyway, that's all from me, take care all
James

"Unexpected item in the bagging area!" Don't you hate that at Tescos, they get me everytime, it's so embarrassing.Sealed Pot Challenge 15 #78
