Just popped in to say I'm still with you all in spirit although not much money is going in the pot
We both had eye tests last week which were free (over 60's) but I needed new specs as the current ones are too strong. I had to pay in full £277.50 :eek: and I won't actually get them for up to 10 days  G is still spending a fortune on Osteopathy and paracetamol whilst waiting for his hospital appointment to come through. We are both feeling the pinch financially.
Today, DD and I went to Sainsbugs where I spent £45 worth of Nectar points on loads of Christmas foodie bits for both of us. DD's trolley load cost 85p plus £30 in points and I used the £15 points balance on mine. We decided against having lunch out and came to mine for HM pitta pizzas and a mug of tea each. I have potted all loose change from my purse now....about £1 I think.
A warm welcome to all new potters :wave:Sealed Pot Challenge #012

 I'd like to join please. I've done the 1p a day savings thing myself the past couple of years and it has felt great counting out the cash before I go Christmas shopping. I'll be doing it again this year and trying the £1 a week version too, though that might get a bit rich for my budget! I have also been saving 5ps and 50ps so will keep doing that. I also often get windfall change from pockets when I do the laundry (£1.20 yesterday!) so will start dropping that in too.
I have a terramundi pot that already has a few £2 coins in it so shall start using that rather than the tins. I'm hoping to beat the £710 I saved this year.

Hi guys!
May I please join in Sue-UU? Bit late to the party but I'd love to see if I can save even a little bit for next Christmas like this!
I have a Terramundi pot that I've used/emptied loads over the years, so I'll be using that one!
I may also make use of a Holding Pot for amounts over £1, but I will add this to the Sealed Pot at least monthly when I've been paid just in case I need it urgently.
When I get home in a minute I have some coppers to add in for my first installment!
Thanks!

My pot is now on £12.38 as I added in some spare change I had earlier.
I’m going to try and aim to have £20-£30 in the pot by the end of December.CC Debt:£450 Emergency Fund: £1,500 Sealed Pot Challenge 2020 #042: £750 -
HI Sueu,
Thanks for adding me to the challenge I emptied out a sealed tin that I started earlier this year and I am going to bank £40 and start again with £18.30 of various assorted silver change. I also found £6 of £2 coins so that has been added as well. Tomorrow I will attempt to count all the 1p and 2ps that have been collected in a celebrations tub and hopefully get back to you tomorrow.
