Been to a local garden centre with dgc this afternoon to see reindeer and santa, reindeer outside getting wet and santa too expensive so came back home and made cakes and played for a couple of hours before taking them back home. Good job they are too young to read notices and prices!!!
So just looked in my purse and put a £1 into each pot, not much but at the moment its all I can afford not to miss.
Nannyg£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund0 -
Normal takeaway was back open this week (was closed- not sure why, nothing in news) which is about a £1 cheaper than the one we had to use instead. Change was potted. Had a quick check to see how much is there, and I have £20.04. So enough for the window cleaner for next couple of times- £8 every 4 weeks. Plus would be a £4 donation to collection at church this evening. In my purse I have £20 in notes. I do need to buy some food for next couple of days. So will be popping to shops, trying to decide whether to go to local shop or whether to hop on bus to local Aldi, I have a monthly ticket- so cost not a consideration- bus stop there is across road from where I live, I have to go past it to get to local shops. Aldi would be cheaper for a lot of items, but not all. Thinking I can then look at all the change and work out what to do with it. Said initially was not "official" on this, by getting a bit a head with certain cash budgets I can then think about doing this more seriously from January.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Went to Aldi, now have sufficient food until pay day. Only cost £3.37. Came home divided up the cash. £8 x 2 into two pots ready for next two times window cleaner comes, £5 note for church collection- bit more generous than £4. Remaining money into pot- over £15.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

PS. When I was off earlier in the year, can you recall whether Lynne said she was leaving SPC when she moved to Valencia?? I hope not, but have never know her to declare late.
Yes, we're all potting brilliantly, Raggle, you too which is fantastic!! I'm pleased you enjoyed both days AND saved!!!
Ah ..there you are, nannygladys!I took you off the list about an hour ago as you hadn't returned. Would you please take note that your new No is 031, please swap it with the one you have on your siggy.

Please, note that the declaration date for 2019 is 31st October!! It helps so much if members are back on or around that date.
Very well thought out with the grandkiddies, I'm sure they will have appreciated fun with nanny just as much, if not more, than expensive gifts.
I'm sure now that I can remember you telling us about that a few years ago, Frogletina! I bet he finds them really useful. It also goes to show you both get on brilliantly and have great fun at Christmas, good for you! BTW as your No was such a high one and is stuck out like a sore thumb I've now promoted you so your No is now 063. Please swap it over on your siggy, and a big thank you.
It's my pleasure, MushyPeas. Oh dear, I can see you've become really overwhelmed with finding roadkill!!! :rotfl:Better luck next time.

As promised...my first saving in SPC is a £3 voucher courtesy of my direct debit provider.
frogletina
I had a second voucher for £5 to be used before Christmas so with the two vouchers and a pound from my credit card I got some lovely chocolate biscuits for Christmas - so thats another £5 in my savings.
