NSDs - 4/15
ORGANISE your time. collected both boys direct from school to take them for haircuts as its so much quieter than at the weekend and gives us time free
VALUES Differentiate between needs and wants – boys both needed a haircut:D
ENJOY yourself. enjoyed DS2s school open day this afternoon. He loved showing of all his work. Even though I work there too he loves to tell me all about things as though I haven’t a clue :rotfl:
MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Plan your meals around what you have, make your shopping list up from the ingredients you need to go with them. - Not done a full inventory yet but will do.
BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month - Food, travel, socialising, personal. spends at Asda updated on shopping budget
EXERCISE 4 times a week, 20 minutes a day. 90 active minutes so far today.
RULES The more rules you can follow, the more you will save/ have for debt reduction. – fingers crossed
IN case of emergency Add any items you might need (torch, shovel for snow, old carpet for traction, extra coat or blanket) to your car boot. DH still to do this
Stock up with generic painkillers, cold and flu meds - just as effective as the expensive ones (MSE tested). to do
NOW is always the right time to start. no alcohol 😊
NO takeaways, coffee shops, vending machines, canteens unless for a special event. McDonalds for the boys after their haircuts.
EVERYONE should know their debt free date. Not got a debt free date apart from Mortgage so will go for my savings date instead which will be 2021/2.
WINTER proof your home, if you haven't already done so. Electric and gas switch underway as contract due to end so although not winter proofing hopefully saving some money.
YOU should cook from scratch when you can. breakfast and lunch were cooked from scratch but I succumbed to buying cooked chicken drumsticks and asda stuffed mushrooms for dinner as DH was out, and I had treated the boys to McD’s after their haircuts.
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light. none today.
REPORT regularly (daily is best) here
KINDNESS costs nothing okay doke0 -
Evening everyone :hello: and welcome Karmacat
I'm just checking in quickly to report another nsd. My mood is very up and down today so I'm keeping a low profile until I feel a bit better.
I'm very grateful for good friends, and my family that are helping me to get through all the rubbish that the universe is chucking my way at the moment.
Also grateful that bonfire night is over for another year, and embarrassed and ashamed at the behaviour of some people towards the fire service.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

NSD - no spends today so that's me on 4/20
ENJOY - More organising of photos. I'm slowly transferring photos from my laptop to my iPad. These go back to 2005 long before I got the iPad. I've tried to do it digitally but no success at all so I'm emailing 8 photos at a time to myself. It's going to take me ages but I'm enjoying going through the photos.
EXERCISE - I went for a 3 mile walk after lunch.
EMERGENCY/WINTERPROOF - I found half a can of shoe waterproofer so I have now treated my new boots.
NOW - I'm keeping with the healthy eating although I need to watch my portion size.
NO - No takeaways etc.
EXTRA - Still not got round to selling more on eBay - I know I keep putting this off
YOU - I made tuna pasta for dinner, as I'm on my own I halved the quantity. 1/4 pt white sauce, half can tuna, 4oz pasta cooked, small chunk grated cheese and a few soggy mushrooms and slice of red pepper. Very tasty and there's enough for lunch tomorrow.
OUTSIDE - I was outside for my walk and although it was damp and dull I still felt great afterwards.
REPORT - Here I am
Have a nice evening xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Today I am grateful for a lift from a friend, for easy buses, for a successful sainz shop, for recorded rugby highlights, for my sewing machine, for hm bubble + squeak (using swede and cabbage) with bacon chopped in it and an egg on top, for dd's creativity, for dh having some extra work.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hi all,
Welcome karmacat xx
Hugs CCL xx
On 2/15 NDSs. Will need milk tomorrow and possibly veg. DS1 is eating us out of house and home. He does a very physical job and needs two sarnies, two crisps and two choc bars to keep him going. Also eating 3 eggs on toast for bf and he is skinny as anything!
Salmon, jacket pots and green beans for tea. Salad and cottage cheese for lunch.
Will take lo chilli and rice for lunch tomorrow.
Recognise that my post is all food related. I am trying hard to get my steps in everyday. Bad back yesterday from gardening saw me popping ibuprofen and walking like an old biddy. Much better today thank the lord.
Have a good evening all.
