Welcome back Karmacat. I have seen your posts elsewhere from time to time. We can swap tips on how to keep going (and knowing when it's wiser to just stop for a while).
All turtles - all your 'does it count ' things do, you are doing more than me.
I was kind to myself yesterday. Had a bath (woo hoo, can get in and out again), wore 2nd best dress and perfume (have realised that dress I had for DS1's wedding is technically my best but full length linen and lace would have been a bit much for a Monday), bung it in the oven food, smothered myself in sun cream (feet are very dry). Put support bandages on both ankles.
No shopping as I did it Sunday (resisted bad things late on). Changed library books and put things in the food bank box. Wet my hair and smoothed it down a bit (I may have forgotten to look in the mirror on Sunday). More tidying done (but kitchen makes my heart quail - will wait until I'm stronger. A lot of it must be superficial but it just seems everywhere). Some reading.
Took wraps, tuna and sweetcorn to mum's and made my own tea there - left the rest for today. Mum had a film on so we watched that - wasn't as good as it originally looked (too mushy) but was tolerable. Really irritated by wardrobe mistakes - mother and daughter in small village in the middle of the forest in wartime with fighting all around BUT wearing full make up, immaculate hair, exquisite wardrobe and when the father reappeared after the war his facial hair and hat were totally wrong. Picking holes was nearly as much fun as the film.
Fixed one of the decorative panels hiding the broken down fence. Mum thought I had done the bins - wrong day (did last week). I said could we please lose our marbles one at a time not both together.
Lots of resting and reading. Early night - moving it earlier in stages. Slept well, had pills earlier but fell asleep again. Plans for the day are more tidying, more self-care, go to mum's, come home, sleep. Green bin needs filling if I can do enough chopping back outside (sun has just decided to come out). Will start with bits I can do sitting down.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Energy sounds like its a hugely important issue for you too. And I too am familiar with forgetting to look in the mirror
I'm just going to count and see how many of the items I'll actually be working on. If Asda call (delivery is between 12 and 2), I may be some time2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Welcome, Karmcat.
NSD 6/15 AFD No 6
It was like living in a war zone here last night. The fireworks went on well past midnight and started again this morning at 7.30am. Hope that's them finished now.
Managed to tidy the two kitchen cupboards. Don't even ask what was in them because I don't know what half of it is supposed to be used for. Impulse jar buys by Himself. Planning to do another little cupboard tomorrow.
Ticked most things off my list. I've decided tackling one biggish job and several little ones is better than trying to attempt too much. Little steps and all that.
Himself still under par so I've yet another pot of soup on the hob. All these vegetables must be good for us.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
NSDs Still 2 NSD and 1 XSD.
ORGANISE your time. Good job I was speedy and organised and got A5da and Sainz out of the way before work this morning - didn't leave work until gone 2.30 and then came home, changed, grabbed lunch and flew to collect youngest. Thankfully (for me) DS2 has just informed me rugby training is cancelled, so he can get the school bus home and DS3 and I don't have to drive to the next town to collect him later (around 80-90 minute round trip at that time) Plan later is to get DS2 and DS3 to bed and watch Casualty late (usually I start watching it around 40 mins after it's started), do the ironing whilst doing so and then flop into bed for an early night
VALUES (Want - If I get to 8K OPs I am starting my 2020 Florida fund early.) Shopped to a list. Only deviation from list was 2 YS items for freezer

Just made an over payment on my car of £100- saved £11 in interest, Only £8010 to go £3341 of which is just standard payments anyway. so £4669 we need to make in over payments, probably a lot less by the time I factor in what I will save on interest. ARRGHHH it is blowing my mind. :rotfl: We have over paid this year by £2850 and my childcare has been a lot higher so it is certainly achievable! :T:T:T bring it on Turtles. I will be a home owner 2020 *starts humming eye of the tiger*0

Welcome Karmacat.
apple - what are you talking about woman - I'm not a trekki, I don't like sci-fi at all.
Had to cancel my mattress order, when I ordered they said delivery would be on Thursday in 3 separate deliveries, this was just about OK as it's my day off. Came home yesterday to an email saying they would be delivered today, I rang and they didn't even offer to reschedule plus UPS say if you're not it you can collect from their depot - what on earth - this was a £960 order.
Back to the drawing board on that one.
Worked today, running after tea, not much else going on today.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Thank you for the welcome, lovely peeps
ORGANISE your time.
Went for a walk, phoned my brother about the ongoing saga of the ID documents, and went straight out to do 20 minutes cutting back of the neighbour's leylandii - lots of outside time in that
ENJOY yourself.
My little walk was lovely - really warm here today, I went to the apple orchard at the end of a very nearby nature reserve.
BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month
Nothing spent here today, but no budget either. First task on a new budget is to get a new mobile contract, bundle it in with the landline maybe, not sure. What I have, now that compensation for a mistake of theirs has run out, is definitely not
EXERCISE 4 times a week, 20 minutes a day.
My walk was pretty slow, but it *was* a walk, and then I did lots of overhead pruning with my long handled shears.
IN case of emergency
I should have taken my phone with me today on my walk, a couple of rellies are really quite ill. I keep a credit card with it now, and that would help too.
NOW is always the right time to start. ... If you start now you will still be 2 months ahead of those making resolutions in the new year.
Love that. Love it.
Still loving itso I came back this afternoon to report
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light - it will help your immune system and your mental health.
I did do a little walk this afternoon, as I say - but ideally that should be morning, shouldn't it, to set our body's daylight clock. I'll try to do that tomorrow, thats quite a different setup from what I currently do.
REPORT regularly (daily is best)
Agreed!
And here I am
