  • Pinecone research is only joinable by clicking through one of their banner ads which can usually be found at Annikas MSN group (google it) The link is there and live at the moment and states that they are looking for people aged 18-24. I have never seen one anywhere else and they dont recruit new panel members very often, so be quick! They are the best survey panel in my opinion, last years vouchers paid in full for christmas food shopping for 3 people! They just added PayPal as a payment method too

I have been a member of valued Opinions for a while and I get quite a few invites to surveys but I don't seem to qualify for most of them.

Now this wouldn't usually bug me but they seem to be asking more and more questions before the survey decides I don't qualify.

I thought the idea of the site was to pay you for your time while you helped them with their research. They seem to be getting more and more info from me for nothing these days...

Just my observations... Wondering if anyone else feels the same??

yes in general. I agree its a way of getting more from you. Email them and tell them time is money.

  • I must say I am truly surprised at Valued Opinions these days. The other day I spent 20 minutes on a survey, got all the way to the end where they aske you about how many in the household etc, then it says I don't qualify. The survey was completed. I honestly am not going to do any more of theirs.

I dont bother with their surveys any more for that reason, but also because they are only paying 50p odd for a 20-30 minute survey.

They are annoying me too, when I first started with them I managed to fill in most surveys, but now don't seem to qualify for any.

I've got to agree. It's annoying when you think you've got passed the qualifying questions and then you get screened out.

The cynic in me thinks it gets them information for free. I did ask them about this a while ago, because I answered three pages using about a dozen radio buttons each after I'd provided the usual demographic detail.

Their response was they need to ask these questions to find out if I qualify for the survey. When I pointed out I'd answered several dozen questions about the product in question, I didn't get a reply.

As a footnote, GlobalTestMarket usually give you a few points, even if you don't qualify. Perhaps others should consider this as well, or at least be bothered to update the messages to reflect why you were screened out rather than, 'this survey is closed', or some other default reason, when it's not.

I agree it does seem to be getting harder nowadays to qualify. The ol' fib never goes amiss though ;)

I'm on 9.50 now though so I think one more survey and I'm out
