As you already been advised.
See #2 in the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum for all advice on how to deal with a court claim if that's what you have received
Your particular question on how to respond initially to Court is fully covered in the walk through given there!
(Are you sure you have a CCJ?? Not a claim from the Northampton Business Centre for the Court?)0 -
What is the Date of Issue on your Claim Form?0

25th september0

You have not received a CCJ, it is a claim for you to defend
Read the newbies thread which will guide you
In the meantime, read this thread

So slow down filling in the reply!
Spend some time on #2 in the FAQ as advised0 -
With a Claim Issue Date of 25th September, and having done the AoS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 29th October 2018 to file your Defence.
That's well over four weeks away. Plenty of time to hone any Defence to perfection but don't leave it to the very last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as described here:
1) Print your Defence.
2) Sign it and date it.
3) Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
4) Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
5) Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
6) Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
7) Wait for your Directions Questionnaire and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread to find out exactly what to do with it.0 -

Slow down!!
Have you followed the Bargepole guide to doing the AOS (as found in the FAQ you have been pointed to)?0 -
Then you will have read this in post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread:So, where to start dealing with your claim?
DO NOT START SCRAWLING A HALF-BAKED 'DEFENCE' ON THE PAPERWORK. STOP!
Here is a guide to MCOL & how to acknowledge service (the first step), put together by a genuine PPC fighter:

Please don't ask us to repeat every step already written in the NEWBIES thread.
That just will not happen.0
