DCBL are just sending the req letter before claim for the parking co , they are acting for the parking co ,

I do not think DCBL are registered as solicitors with the SRA

U thought only the parking co or its SOLICITORS could send this paperwork

Guidance on exactly how to answer every question on a Directions Questionnaire is freely available in post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

DCB Legal Ltd are likely a subsidiary, but they are very much a regulated law firm, I'm afraid - albeit a small one.

    Simple law society search:

    Dcb Legal Ltd
People, offices and structure In this organisation:
    4 people in this organisation
    2 solicitors in this organisation
3 SRA-approved managers in this organisation
    1 office
  • Hi All,

    Just a Quick update,

I have now sent back the DQ's to the courts and a copy to BW legal( as suggested in the newbies thread)

As this is the third claim recieved, and the first claim was stayed( a much lower value Claim) can i be right in thinking they are pushing these two newest claims much further as they are for substantially more value.??

I am wondering if i can use this as any kind of argument with the judge, I.E they are happy to let a low value claim get stayed and dissapear however when it comes to much higher claims they will waste the courts time by pushing for a hearing because they think they will earn more money from it,

Does this not clearly show a judge this is a scam for as much overinflated "COSTS" as they think they can possibly get?

    Thanks

You should include, once you get a local court allocated, a letter to the judge stating
    - claim ref XYZ, for substnaitlly the same isues, was stayed due to XYZ
    - claim ABC and DEF have since been issued, again for the same issue, and you ask that they strike out one or both of the claims as an abuse of porcess, using their case maanagement powers, as this will avoid wsaitng valuable court time on two hearings for the same matter
    - igf not you ask that claims ABC and DEF are combined within claim XYZ, and stayed pending an application by the claimant.

    Hi,

I have now finally received two court dates for the active claims, 25th June & 12th July, both at my local court(norwich) and the same judge,

Please can i ask for some advise on my next steps, i know i now need to get a good witness statement together and any paper work i intend to rely on, is there anything else i can also add to improve my chances,

I really would like to let the judge know these 2 claims are for exaclty the same offence ablieit different times and dates, for them to bring two seperate claims seems like a serious waste of court resources and i hope they would agree, do i write a letter directly to the judge or wait until the 2 weeks before the claim.

many thanks again for you help. the work you guys and gals do on this site is amazing and is a real public service. you should all be very proud of yourselves for this selfless act.

Write a letter to the judge now. Do not delay.

hi keith, sorry to sound like an idiot,

do i simply write the letter and address it to said judge(District Judge Russell) at the county court, with my details. or is there a particular department i must address it too?

    Kind regards
