    HI Beamer Guy,

The new letter of claim is from DBCL and does not mention BW Legal at all,

Why have NTC also got these crooks involved and wasting more paper to send to me dodgy claims,

Is there any reply i can send them to let them know i realize there scam and they will stop harraing me,
I am fairly strong but it does get a bit to much to deal with eventually.

The whole industry is a scam, relying on threats of court, and the public's ignorance of the Law, A bill is currently before parliament which will regulate the scammers, many of whom are ex-clampers.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers.

Sir Greg Knight's Private Members Bill to curb the excesses, and perhaps close down, some of these companies passed its Second Reading in the Lords this month, and, with a fair wind, will l become Law later this year..

All five readings are available to watch on the internet, (some 7-8 hours), and published in Hansard. MPs have an extremely low opinion of the industry. Many are complaining that they are becoming overwhelmed by complaints from members of the public. Add to their burden, complain in the most robust terms about the scammers.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

I have received through the post on Saturday 25th, a letter of claim from company DCB Legal Ltd,
They claim to act on behalf of DCBL in respect of a debt due under "AN AGREEMENT" between me and NTC Ltd.
I see what you are saying, this looks like a NEW proposed claim so please start a new thread about this one.

HA HA .... Think you mean DCBL who are simple debt collectors.
The PPC has wasted their time appointing DCBL as in your case they are powerless.

You may be thinking of "can't pay we'll take it away" on TV, where you see DCBL agents. It's a soap opera and they appear only if its gone to court and not been paid

No, I am calling this as a new scam we need a new thread about:
    DCB Legal Ltd

A LBC from the above...that's something new. Maybe the latest BW Legal type company? DCBL jumping on the 'legal' bandwagon?

THREE GRAND. My God we need to slap them down and report them to the SRA if they think they can threaten people with a claim for that sum.

OP please start a new thread and tell us in it, how many PCNs/dates/parking events are listed? How have they got to £3000? Or have they just made it up?

Tell us in the new thread.

It would be good to see the entire letter on your new thread as this is new and I cannot get over how they arrived at £3000, legally.

You can post working links so host the letter in Dropbox which we can all access easily.
