Today I am grateful for more swimming success, for finding what we wanted in the £shop, for theb00kpeople delivering some cmas bargains, for dd and I having great fun cutting, sawing, digging and finally uprooting a small tree, for finishing some bunny arms (1 month + 1 day to the first fair), for dd taking herself out and about to meet a friend to pogo, for swallowing a frog email.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hi all :j
CCL I hope your cat returns soon..
Challenge: Oops forgot this one yesterday! Don't smoke & rarely drink either, so it has to be giving up unhealthy snacks. Fail on this one today...
Organise. Start as you mean to go on. Know the contents of your fridge, freezer and cupboards. Plan your meals around them. Cook from scratch. Don't buy anything you can make unless cost /time taken dictates otherwise. If you are new to turtle challenges or still have full cupboards you could try living from the cupboards. Lunch was HM soup but supper was a....takeaway....planned but still felt naughty..
Regular budget items should be set by 1st October. If you don't know how much you are spending on food or petrol, now is the time to find out. Question every purchase - need or want? Purchases at the DIY emporium items needed for doing up the house before winter. Also then to Sainsbobs for a few YS items..also paid for passport renewal photos..urgh
No Spend Days. Aim for 20 (high target) or 15 (low). Am aiming for 15 but hoping for more. Still 15/15.
Improvise. Make do and mend with a creative twist. think of a substitute ingredient, how to make an old/broken piece of furniture last a little longer. Purchase of paint etc means we can do the work ourselves.
Exercise Four times a week at least (20 minutes minimum but can be done 10 minutes at a time). Get outside in daylight as often as possible. Outside for a short time for the inevitable painting. However, the end is in sight...
Christmas More knitting, am waiting for needles to knit my novelty gift. DH found/saw a couple of stocking fillers for DD
Banned Will only be chippys normally with the odd takeaway planned for a celebration etc. A takeaway today.
Extra Income and Extra time Not much on this front today.
Report in, daily if possible I'm here..

Thanks everyone - she did come home. Not sure where she was but she clearly had a bit of an experience as she's nervous, and wanted to stay in my room with me last night (very unusual for her). She would only go outside this morning if I stood with the door open and watched her and she came in after just a couple of minutes. At least she is home safe though.
Starting to feel a bit more human today - seeing bestie in a little while as we're taking the boys swimming, so I'm looking forward to that. I also really need to pop to Mr S while I'm that way along as ds loves their pizza so I stock up when I'm there.
Other than that, the thought of needing to do schoolwork is now looming large so I need to make some time for that. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt

Today is NSD 17
I am processing apples, doing laundry, and taking DS2 to the dentist.
I have discovered that I now have to take the kids to things every single day of the week. Petrol £ is going to increase. Boo! Still, at least 3 out of 4 have interests outside of school time.

Morning! We're in Portugal for half term and every day has involved spends - although mostly just fresh bread/ milk/ pastries each day (did a 'big' shop on day 1 at large supermarket) After a day at the waterpark yesterday, OH and I are both a bit pink - but the smalls are fine (I pay far more attention to slathering them in suncream than I do myself) Lazy morning so far - boys may go in pool shortly. Might take a walk to the beach later for a pootle and paddle - it's a hard life! :roftl:
However, not all is well - found out last night that my Nan is dying - inoperable mass in her chest and doesn't have long - palliative care only. She is, however, 88 and has outlived my Grandad (died almost 22 years ago) and one of her 6 children. I will go and see her when we are back (assuming that she is both alive and up to visitors)
Aside from that, I am grateful for sun, for fresh baguettes, for my boys having fun, for soothing aftersun lotion and for PGT1ps teabags!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Hello,
It's been a quiet start to the morning. Last night I went to visit my friend and she has lent me a book to read so I've spent all morning reading half of that. I'm surprisingly enjoying it and it's taking my mind off things. I must make time to read more.
I'm currently waiting for my appt with my consultant psychiatrist. There are a few things I need to clear up and get clarity on other things and my treatment plan. My mood is still very low.
Yesterday was a NSD. I'll figure out my totals later.
Today will be a spend day. I've decided I'm going to take my car to the car wash and get them to hoover the inside. It shouldn't cost more then £15. It's a treat to myself and I haven't got the energy to do it. A clean car makes me feel much happier.
The boy starts yet another extra curricular activity after school. Choir. I think he will enjoy it as he is always singing at home.
The plan for the rest of the afternoon once other things are out the way, is to finish reading my book. The boy has ice skating later on so I'll take a hot drink with me. My mum bought an insulated cup and its brilliant. I may purchase myself one at some point.
My uncle is coming round for tea tonight so I'm going to make an effort to stick around. I've been taking myself off and going to sleep.Chandelier.
