greent - sorry to hear about your nan.
f0xh0les - I hate food tech time, DS came home Wednesday from school with the new recipe booklet and said his first lesson was Thursday and he needed spag bol ingredients, him and several others turned up with no ingredients, there was no way I was dashing back out for something I didn't even want. He spent 2 hours on the computer researching spag bol.

Greent - sory to hear about your nan
Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I last posted! I've not been very well and have been busy with my son and enjoyed having a few days just the 2 of us
Went to a friends house Tuesday for a good old catch up which was nice too
Have finally given my CC's to my parents so I'm not tempted to spend on them, however the other day I knew I would be going into OD and thought "I could just put on CC....." but now they're gone so is the temptation to use them. Going to take them off my amazon and paypal accounts too so I'm not able to use them! Paid off another £50 this week on my CC. It means I don't have much to spend on food but this also means I'm using what I've got and not wasting any food! So I see that as a good thing
Challenge - Had some sort of bug yesterday or food poisoning so was sick all day so didn't really eat and not feeling it today.
Organise - Bought my shopping a day early while son was at nursery just put on OD and paid off yesterday. Just need to get my fuel.
No Spend Days - Managed to bag another 3 NSD, today will be spend because I've already had to buy tissues and nasal stick.
Improvise. Make do and mend with a creative twist - Did something the other day and thought I would share on here but completely forgot what it was, was so proud of myself though :rotfl:
Exercise Four times a week at least - Not happening still feel rough and working today.
Christmas - None
Banned Takeaways, coffee shops, chippys, pie shops, vending machines, sandwich bars etc. - Will probably grab a little something for lunch.
Extra Income or Extra time for the time poor - None today.
Report in - Hello!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts about my Nan
She has had a decent innings at 88 and hasn't had major health issues until recently - and she is with my aunt and uncle (both good-level nurses) and they have a palliative care kit from GP and a nurse every few days to monitor. Suspect it will be within the week, though. Never a good thing, in reality, but 88 with 6 children (5 living), 7 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren, she's not done bad!
To money matters - cashed in £45 and a few pennies from tcb last night - took a prepaid CC which I will use on Amaz0n for XmasHave also sold (sstc when we are home) something on fbook for £5 which I bought as a novelty for DD for 38p! - decided it wasn't her so thought I'd list on fb and then send to CS if necessary
(it's cute, but not quite right for DD)

Hugs greent, it is good that your Nan is surrounded by people who love and care for her.
apple, I think I prefer November, if you don't mind. I might sound too much of a curmudgeon if I do the festive month, since my sons have varied views on it (also have to balance looking after mum and spending time with her).
Have some thoughts on November ticking along in the back of my head, will pin them down when I take a sit down break over the weekend.
I was slightly dreading today. I was roped in to flat sit for DS2 as he had a delivery due between 7am and 1pm. He wanted me there from 8am which meant sandwich supplies had to be bought yesterday (+ a new alarm clock) and it's also film club day, so I usually meet mum from 12.30 as the film starts at 1pm.
My craft destash stuff is going tomorrow (hopefully) and DS3 and Beloved left for their convention at 10am this morning (room clearance, hooray). I'm also in charge of feeding and watering the grand chinchillas.
So yesterday tried to shop for anything and everything I might need until Sunday. Wasn't feeling great so did a tentative shop as far as the Town Centre (shopping centre, not the civic centre). Very slow and lots of sit downs (was actually feeling sick, so tried to find routes where I could nip out of the way if it got worse). Then decided I would continue to Tessimo's, buy everything else and have a taxi home. This included a new phone - an old people large button easy phone so more future proofing. The other phone will still go in for repair but it will either be back up or DS3 will get it (he lives on other people's cast offs but then he does tend to leave them on buses).
New alarm clock woke me at the prescribed time, had my bath last night to save time/ bathroom clashes. Good news as they had narrowed the time frame to no later then 11am and phoned to say they were coming before DS2 left for work. I sat and watched Grand Hotel Budapest on his Netflix, directed the men when the delivery came and was back in time for hot food at home (seem to have spent days eating out of bags).
Had time to open the curtains and windows in both their bedroom and the front room to blast some fresh air through and put out 6 binbags full of rubbish - luckily most of it was cans and bottles so mostly into recycling and very little into the black bin. Back out to watch 'Blithe Spirit' with mum (got to love Margaret Rutherford) and have to decide if I am going back for this evening's film (sounds good but will I still be awake). Plus need to be up tomorrow for craft stash pick-up - he's coming from Scotland so it shouldn't be crack of dawn but I don't want to miss him.
No money spent so far today (film money set aside from my birthday money) and going to pick something else from the freezer to avoid spending. Have drinks and snacks if I go to the film but may buy raffle tickets (charitable donation as I never win).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Mothernerd - thank you for doing Nov.
Today I am grateful for dd getting an extra 20 mins from the swimming instructor, for the mahooosive amount of progress she has made this week, for her friend coming here to play, for finishing 4 bunnies (and they have clothes too - to think I used to sell 'naked' bunnies:rotfl:), for a definite nip in the air, for the market's £1 bowls of veg/fruit, for dd's new goggles being delivered in time for her lesson, for big sis visiting, for the pogo stick.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
