I also cooked bacon and sausage sandwiches all round before they left so they have full tummies. So I have unusually for me a day to myself which I fully intend to make the most of. I need to pop to the shop as the one I went to yesterday didn't have 1 item I need for tea but I'll do that as soon as they open and then be back.
Recipe mmharko was gifted by another dfw'er and I've not tried it yet (is currently in sc and smells lovely) 1 tin coconut milk, 1 tins worth of milk, 1 spoon of Thai curry paste, tsp each of ginger, garlic, turmeric and ground coriander, stock cube and tin chickpeas. Cook on low for 6-7 hours and then add frozen spinach and stir through some yogurt.
I also will:
Go for a long run
Make crumble for tea tonight and stew some more of the apples for the freezer
Make tomorrow's packed lunches
Make flapjacks that I didn't do yesterday
Freeze Thai curry above in portions
Freeze red cabbage
Set up new router
Make chutney if I have time
Have a relaxing bath later
Spend some quality time with DH tonight
Enjoy your day everyone. Purps.
Did a 10 mile run without stopping  so bath was lovely :rotfl: chutney and flapjacks can wait until tomorrow especially when I saw the price of brown sugar at SM this morning  will go to aldee tomorrow or Tuesday and get from there instead.
The only things I would change for the curry baileysbabe are to shorten the time, mine was lovely after about 5 hours and I haven't added any yogurt and it taste amazing. It looked a bit odd at one point as it Separated but when the spinach went in it was fine. Let me know what you think0 -
All things done for the day. Including keeping the heating off. It's getting cold though. OH laughed at me for lighting a candle to warm up the room a bit.
Still it's only 17 in our bedroom. 14 is brass monkey territory.LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
