What small DFW things will you do w/c 24th September?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning peeps. My planned leisurely (ish :rotfl:) day doing a bit of painting has been somewhat side swiped. I now need to definitely paint it as the man is coming tomorrow to fix the door and skirting on as he's had a job cancelled. Sure focuses the mind
anyway, it'll be lovely when it's done and then I can order the carpet and it should all be done in a couple of weeks :T so things for today:
Paint, paint, paint
Pop to diy shop and get handle and associated bits for said new door, use instant voucher I now know I can purchase on my phone in shop, saves 8%
Check banking
Post fleabay parcel
Relist some stuff on fleabay, see if I can get a couple more on tonight
Leftovers for meals today
Stretch so I can run again tomorrow and not get injured
Strain and freeze stock made in sc overnight
Get some washing out on line
Have a great day everyone. Purps.0 -
Thanks Purple

- Remember to track calories on MFP

Morning Monday Ninjas,
It's lovely getting a tax rebate, isn't it Natlie?
Today's list:
*Peg out cheap overnight laundry to dry for free. Do a quick 30 min load.
*Rubber chicken.
*Gather more apples & stew for freezer.
*Wrap friend's birthday presents - paper & tag, etc, from stash.
*Update bullet diary with essential tasks for this week.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Pot up pelargoniums to bring back indoors before they are caught in an early frost.
*See how my strings of chillies are drying.
*Knit
*Continue with 'use-it-ups' esp lipstick, cleanser & 'granite/marble cleaner' (the latter not bought by us, I hasten to add, but it does quite a good job on sinks).
Have a good start to the week, all.

Morning all
Thanks for starting us off Purps
Brr, cold here this morning!
No heating on, though I am not ruling out lighting the stove this evening. Not alight yet!
Today looks like this:
Last blackening banana for breakfast Done
Chicken stock to deal with (strain off of the bones etc, pick little bits of eat off bones for the dog) Done
Wormed dog, he doesn't have worms  but monthly wormer is part of his health plan. It is a tiny tablet (just as well, given diminutive size of dog) which I bury in a little piece of cheese. He thinks it is a treat
Washing needs to go out on line Done, dry and folded
Ditto half a dozen polythene bags which I have washed for reuse Dry and put away for reuse
Unwanted charity collection bag now lining the kitchen bin - we get loads of these and I would rather donate to one of the local charity shops than some company that, in the small print, will donate 'a percentage' of what they get for selling my old clothes, usually to a charity I haven't heard of! Done
Repurpose another used plastic bag for the bathroom bin Done
Plenty of leftovers for lunch / dinner. Done
Need to buy a few things though, that OH didn't get when he went shopping. Will take a list! Found some YS items, stocked up on store cupboard things a bit, as I found a £4 off £40 voucher. Was a bit  at spending that much, but would have needed to over the next week or so, and the voucher would have expired by then.
Work this morning - my sales unit gets restocked on Mondays, items mostly labelled up and already in the carDone
Pick tomatoes, raspberries and whatever else is ready in the garden Done, found a courgette and a big marrow  Stuffed marrow it is then! Also picked and washed spinach. Pulled the last of the radishes and planted some chard in their place. Hopefully they will survive!
Checked banks and updated spreadsheet.
There will be more - back later to update!0 -
Morning folks!
Feeling very pleased this morning. We totted up the budget sheet last night, and to cap off OH being debt free a couple of months ago, we are now at the 10K savings mark!(I know that you shouldn't be saving and paying off debt but this is not only our emergency fund, but also due to the way that finances were organised until fairly recently)
I feel much happier knowing that we have a decent cushion now if something goes very awry.
To anyone who is still struggling with their debts, we have come to this point from being in a combined total of £18k in debt so don't give up - you can get there!
It's such a beautiful morning here. sunny with an autumnal chill. I like these mornings
Today's dfw things:- B/L/D from stores - done
- Pushed the veg box back by a week as I have tonnes in the freezer - done
- Round robin email to my fit work pals to see if they need anything from Protein supplier (I might get free shipping) - done
- OH to peg the washing outside - asked, so done hopefully!
- Charge phone in work - done
- Gym at lunchtime - done - Merida - another Crossfitter here (sort of). I did 2.5 years of Crossfit but the box has recently started to offer Opex training too and I've moved over to that as it's completely personalised. I got my first pull up last month after only 3 months of Opex training
- Check that my pal is happy with the glove (finished last night) and if so, start the second one. It worked up quick once I got going but the ssc's are murder on my fingertips. I don't crochet particularly tightly but you have to leave these very loose. - done. I am slightly concerned about the cuff being tight but too late now!
- No alcohol- done
- No sugary stuff- done
- Asked OH to apply his brain to energy saving measures. He often has good ideas that I wouldn't think of. - done
- Check T's and C's of OH's savings account
Have a good one all

Morning all,
Going to desperately try and sneak a nap in at some point today, little one has decided that waking every couple of hours is the thing to do lately
Other than that, small list for today;
- sort charity shop stuff and take it to the shop. Have spotted a pair of trainers in the window that are my daughters size that will be perfect for nursery and playing in the garden for £1! If they're still there when we head down i'll pick them upDONE, got the £1 trainers too!
- found some grey fabric dye in the cupboard during a recent sort out, have got a top in the bucket with the dye just now, I'm not sure it looks like it going to be a success, think it was maybe the wrong type of fabric?? A monumental failure!
- Make banana bread - must do this of the bananas will be too far gone and just end up in the bin.
- meal plan for week. have a fridge full of stuff, lots of salad type things are aren't going to last much longer, determined not to waste any of it!
- post ebay items DONE
- post RM and do CD DONE
