Thank you for your kind wishes Dawn B.B. and Ziggy I think the thing that angers me the most is the disrespect. Why they would do what they have done without asking is beyond me. People, I find they are always disappointing when they don't have a moral compass. Anyway, I have a particularly long and arduous day at work today just to top it off so I'm not sure it will progress today.
Sending much love and hugs to foxgloves too.
My list for today:
Check banking
Packed lunches for small and DH. I will at least get lunch provided on my long day by work, take hot drink from home and snacks.
Get something out of freezer for tea before I go
Quick shower, will use my new conditioner bar to go with my lovely shampoo bar
Wear my charity shop trousers that are lovely and feel quite smug :rotfl:
Do some mammoth clean up tonight when man has gone from doing all the work here. It already looks amazing
Pay said man if he sends his bill today
Have a good day everyone. Purps.0 -

purps really sorry to hear of your neighbour trouble, hope it gets sorted quickly xx
DNMS yes they should be paying for the dental work at least! You'd be doing the manufacturers a favour by complaining, since their QC didn't catch it
Today's list:
- biking routine to work etc
- leftovers for lunch
- miscellaneous pasta (with pork & fennel meatballs) for supper
- laundry has been on overnight - if the mist burns off I'll put it out at lunch, otherwise on airer
- check ald! website to see if I can order bike stuff online (otherwise will be elbows at dawn on Sunday when the specialbuys hit)
- do some studying tonight
- do [STRIKE]amazing and brilliant[/STRIKE] best possible work today and formulate strategy for catch up with boss tomorrow - part of the longer term "up your income" plan
- walk dog tonight, he didn't get a walk yesterday in the end (no-one panic, we have a large garden and he's starting to slow up a bit with age, so missing a day isn't the end of his world)
Hope everyone has a good day!0 -
Hi All
Apologies for not posting for a while, depression is still giving me a good kicking and am blaming the darker mornings. Have managed to go to work but as soon as I get home I pretty much fall asleep !! So frustrating. So not a great deal of moneysaving but am plodding along.- So today I am going to attempt the gym - much harder to get myself up there than usual, but will be worth it for a sauna afterwards.
- Washing already on and will hang out to air dry
- Meals from stores - can tell I'm a bit zonked as no food shopping has been done, does mean we are getting through the freezer nicely though
- Send back returns - ordered some new gym gear to try and motivate myself, only keeping the things I need though so rest to go back.
- Book overtime shift for next week as then am off work for 6 days annual leave :-) hoping this will help matters.
- Wash spare bedsheets as parents are coming to stay for a few days next week. Doesn't mean any extra work through as in fact they will cook etc if needed so will be nice to see them and dog :-)
- Swagbucks
- Update spreadsheet - will leave this till Saturday as am getting paid my overtime shifts tomorrow.
Hope you all enjoy the sunshine wherever you are

Hi everyone I have been reading along but haven't had much to post.
CLF I have also had wasps......annoying little blighters!
They have taken residence in the air brick above the spare room. They just come into the house to die, I'm still doing my decluttering and at one point was decluttering more wasps than anything. Getting hardly now. Also found the leftovers of a spray my DD was using in her room to help her sleep. Sprayed that around upstairs every morning and that has helped a lot. Plus using something up.
Have also found other bits that DD has left behind as she has now gone back to uni so collected them together this morning and will use them up.
purps sorry to hear about ur neighbours. There is nothing worse, especially when thoughtlessness is involved. It frustrates me.
Ellie it's good that u are plodding along even though u are having a battle with the depression. I remember DD all she wanted was her bed all of the time, it is an uphill battle but at least u are still trying to push forward.
Have been really good-banking all checked and up to date, spends book all up to date aswell.
Have also been eating from the freezer but will get the slow cooker going tonight to make a chicken casserole and throw any left over veg in.
DD is putting me to shame at uni. She hates freshers, feels it's a waste of money so went back a few days later. Has got a budget in place and set herself up a menu plan, but I know is this is partly a control mechanism for her fatigue.
Have piled thru a lot of paperwork and I'm fairly up to date-really pleased about this.
Still packing up the living room for decorating.....this really isn't moving forward a lot at the minute.
Still getting cat sachets from Amaz@n but I think I will stop them after today's delivery as I've used up the vouchers off and they will go up in price but have been really worth it and have saved me a lot, esp being out of action.
Right off for food before sorting out DD cat and a quick wasp check
Take care everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Evening all
Spendy day today, bought new shoes and ankle boots
All budgeted for though, and used money from selling unwanted clothes and shoes towards it. I had found myself with little in the way of footwear for the winter - I tend to buy a couple of pairs every few years and wear them till they fall apart, and apart from a 4 year old pair of knee length boots which are probably still ok for another couple of years, they had
Got a cardigan for me and a pair of trousers for OH from a CS
Also had to buy fuel and a few bits from the SM
Made a (rather messy) chocolate cake for tomorrow's charity coffee morning, plus some cheese biscuits. Will have to be careful transporting the cake as I will have to walk down  Hope it is still more or less intact when I get there!
Also made a spinach and feta filo pie using spinach from the garden
Picked a small bowlful of raspberries
Finished off leftover curry for dinner
Sold 2 ebay items, waiting for payment
Might do a bit in the garden while it is still light and relatively warm
And update my spreadsheet with today's spends :eek:0 -
Hey everyone
Sorry I've been awol - it has been a busy and rather hectic week. I had my observation at work today, which I've been stressing about and preparing for, for most of the week. It went well thankfully and I'm relieved it's over for a while. I got no 'areas to improve' so I'm a happy bunny.
Payday tomorrow, and it can't come soon enough. September has been painful.
In mse news - I'm now up to 14 nsd's this month
I've signed up to that app with your code CLF - so hopefully you'll get some £ as well.
Got an email from bee tee who are giving me 2 months off from paying, and reducing my dd by £30 a month :j
Chased up my solicitors as things are dragging a bit again and I need to feel like things are being done.
Personal wise, I'm still tired and looking forward to the weekend, but I'm doing a lot better than I was last week. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
