Hello everyone,
I have been reading this forum for a few months now, but I was always a bit shy to join in.
I thought that now is a good time to join in. Let me introduce myself.
I am mother to two children, me and my husband leave in small flat just outside of London.
I am trying to pay off debt of 15k in 1 year. I earn just above minimum wage so it will tough, however if I am a bit persistent I believe i can do it.:money:
DFW things I have done today:
*Got an apple for free.
*Ate lunch at work- Free as we get staff food
*NSD
*Washed clothes in the morning as we have E7 meter
I hope you all have lovely evening0 -
Welcome FreedomIseek,
I like to make use of Economy 7 meter too. We have night storage heaters so it runs those, but I also like to set the washing machine on timer for 5 a.m to get the half price tariff. That must save me a bit over a year. I sometimes manage to get the ironing done on E7 too, as I do get up early. And I often switch the heated airer & bathroom towel rail on before bedtime too, to get the cheaper rate. I've even run the slow cooker overnight now & again. I think energy bills are just so expensive now, that we need to use it wisely and all these little savings will add up over a year, so they're worth doing.

PurpleFairy Thank you for starting this weeks thread :A
Today has been non-stop for both me & OH
As it was sunny and breeze I did 3 quick washes, mainly fleece blankets, these all dried along with the load I put in overnight.
I am going to say goodnight as I keep making silly typos due to tiredness.
I hope you all had a good day, I'll about it in the morning, sweet dreams.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning frugal pals :hello: am pleased wth how the room turned out, given I wouldn't normally paint that many coats in 1 day and the last one was at dusk which is not ideal
there are a few bits to touch up, but no big issues :T thanks determined I try to set myself goals each month and it really helps, I'd get so much more done if I didn't have to work full time though, it does get in the way :rotfl:
Hope you had a good jollies ally
Today will look like this:
Check banking
Check surveys
Some exercise, use gym membership
May go for a bimble round some charity shops only if I can park for free :money:
Call about some carpet
Meals will be leftovers, freeze any that are left
Vacuum downstairs and have a little tidy round
Have a good day everyone. Purps.0 -
Morning,
I shan't be very productive today as it's another long journey for hospital visiting, but I am going to do the following things this morning:
*Wrap my friends birthday presents - that fell off the list yesterday as there was a lot of necessary hospital communication with my sister.
*Sort a big pile of scrap paper into clean on one side A4 for printer & make the rest into refills for household scrap pads - I like one on my desk, one in the kitchen & one by the phone.
*Peg out overnight laundry as supposed to be a sunny day here.
*Make coffee to take with us later so we are not spending £5+ straight away in the hospital coffee shop.
*We will probably need an online grocery shop this week, so will do meal plans.
*Pot up & bring in my pelargoniums before the frosts arrive, as they should be good for next year then.
That will be all for today.

Morning all
Big hugs to anyone who needs them. Esp thinking of foxgloves
A lovely autumn morning here although very cold. Wanted to enjoy it but feeling stupidly anxious today. Grrrr.
Turns out that there is a wasps nest in the garden wall. I would leave them alone tbh but it's the wall on the communal path so it needs to be treated. OH is going to buy a can of nest killer, wrap up thickly, spray, and run like hell. Should be cheaper than calling out pest control.
Today's things:- B/L/D from stores
- Charge phone in work - done
- Put water from dehumidifier into bucket - I've been collecting water from the dehumid and the shower as it heats up. I am filling the water butt and using it to flush the loo. - done
- Check T's and C's of OH's savings account - done
- Gym at lunchtime - done. good session
- OH to hopefully do housework
- OH to get wasp killer
- Close curtains in the evening to keep house warm
- Poss start second glove
- Try to relax - done. much better now!
