we stopped our long long walks when madam came to live with us - small kids not really known for their love of long walks!) oh was touting going to the cinema but I'm going to angle for a film at home (coz I'm tight like that!)
I really didn't do very much of my list yesterdayso will be carrying on with those things....

*[STRIKE] hunt through material stash. [/STRIKE]Am making dd a quilt and want to see if I've any fabric I can use to reduce amount purchaseddone a couple of bits that'll go. Purchased the material. Cost £25. Have batting and will buy a flat sheet for the back :money: Think it'll look great and will be her Christmas present funds out of xmas gift piggie :money:

Morning all :hello: smalls and DH are out for the day so I've done them a big packed lunch and snacks so they should be good for the day. I also cooked bacon and sausage sandwiches all round before they left so they have full tummies. So I have unusually for me a day to myself which I fully intend to make the most of. I need to pop to the shop as the one I went to yesterday didn't have 1 item I need for tea but I'll do that as soon as they open and then be back.
Recipe mmharko was gifted by another dfw'er and I've not tried it yet (is currently in sc and smells lovely) 1 tin coconut milk, 1 tins worth of milk, 1 spoon of Thai curry paste, tsp each of ginger, garlic, turmeric and ground coriander, stock cube and tin chickpeas. Cook on low for 6-7 hours and then add frozen spinach and stir through some yogurt.
I also will:
Go for a long run
Make crumble for tea tonight and stew some more of the apples for the freezer
Make tomorrow's packed lunches
Make flapjacks that I didn't do yesterday
Freeze Thai curry above in portions
Freeze red cabbage
Set up new router
Make chutney if I have time
Have a relaxing bath later
Spend some quality time with DH tonight
Enjoy your day everyone. Purps.0 -

PurpleFairy Please, let us know how the Thai curry works out and any changes you would make, thank you. I need to add more variety to our meals.
Today is a beautiful day sunny & dry, but cool (dd says cold). Seeing the sun really lifts my spirits. The washing is hung out on the line hopefully to dry, at least a little and to air. Most of this week has been heavy rain so no chance of drying any washing outside.
Friends have invited us round for the afternoon and dinner. As we have made lots of progress on the "room of fun" we are going to reward ourselves by happily accepting.
Today's list
Set dw to run overnight
Set wm to run overnight
Wash hair and let it dry naturally
Air and hopefully dry washing outside
Finish washing off on the airier overnight
Check back accounts
Continue looking at savings options if time allows
Put 2 pieces of furniture into the loft
Spend an hour on the "room of fun"
PAD
NSD
Ensure all curtains & blinds are fully open to make most of the natural light, as it lifts my spirits and saves money
No heating, remind everybody to dress appropriately (no wearing shorts & a t-shirt and complaining your cold)
Snuggly under blankets if cold
Close curtains before it gets dark, to retain the heat
RM survey preparation
B/L from stores
Move tonight's planned dinner forward in the meal plan

Morning folks
I'm still catching up with the thread but big hugs to all xxx
Feeling very glad now that the 'rents are off on their way home. Very draining couple of days again which has made my vertigo play up. I was also having a VERY horrible dream last night. Luckily I managed to realise that I was dreaming and wake myself up before the really nasty stuff happened but it made for a disturbed night. I don't often have nightmares and it's not one that I'd care to repeat.
MSE-ish over the weekend. We went to free places mostly and I let mum and dad pay for the coffees etc. Some spends by me but mostly from the food budget.
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores
- Made a packed lunch for OH as he's working - done
- Charge phone in work - done
- Reconcile budget sheet
- Heating off - def not yet even though it's getting nippier
- Swapped out "spring" blanket for "winter" blanket as it's autumn equinox. When I get my arris in gear, it will be swapping "summer" for "autumn" but I have to make them first!! - done
- No alcohol
- No sugary treats
- Washing on the airer. There is some washing on the line and it's p!$ing down. Supposed to be dry tomorrow though so it may as well stay there! - done

Hello all
Been car booting (indoor one at a livestock market due to the rain). Bought a few small bits of sales stock, and from household money got bacon and cheese from one of the market stalls, plus a (nother) handbag for me - it was only £2 though!
Apart from that:
Walked dog when we got back, as the rain had eased off a bit
Bit of paperwork for small biz
Listed more Victorian and Edwardian 'treasures' on FB
Bits from fridge will do for lunch
Think about what to do with washing up bowlful of cherry tomatoes  Probably more roasted tomato sauce.
Text brother to invite him to dinner
Drag toys upstairs - they have proliferated in the dining room, and GD hardly ever plays with them. If she asks for something I can always get it down for her, or she can play with it up there. Dining room is a tip
Choose and label up items for sales unit tomorrow
Chicken and roast potatoes to cook for dinner, with HG veg. Will also make an apple and quince crumble.
Fold up clothes on airer, iron what needs it (won't be much, as my standards aren't high :rotfl:)
((Hugs)) to poorlies, special hugs to CCL and Foxgloves xx0
