    Hi all:j

F0xholes - I embrace it all right, maybe too enthusiastically, hence the weight gain since it re-started :D

Was finally shamed into cleaning the front windows - they looked so bad when the sun was out..did both big windows at the front, but the second one had to also do a lot of pruning to even reach it. Useful because I noticed a few things that also need doing before winter, need to make a note of them. DH actually finally did a tip run, so a massive pile of stuff that has been out there for weeks has now gone at last..

Set your budgets now. Pay to your debts/savings first and live off the rest. Make sure you're on the best deals for utilities, phones, broadband, etc. Are there any areas in your budget that you could cut down on? Will go through budget again & see where savings could be made. Need to check switch docs & see what info they need from me.

Use up. Have a look through your cupboards and identify any food that's been lurking there for a while and incorporate it into a meal plan. Likewise toiletries, any half opened bottles - use before opening/buying more. Lunch from freezer & stores, supper was burgers from freezer for DH, HM ones for me.

NSDs - there are 30 days in September so a minimum of 15 or 20 for a harder challenge. Usual exemptions for ys items, petrol and medical expenses. Now 8/15
Spread some sunshine - be kind to others, help out friends, neighbours, colleagues and strangers. Share your tales of any random acts of kindness. Took wool in to CS for Salvation army lady to make toys.

Healthy eating - up your fruit and veg intake, quit snacking between meals or choose healthier options. Did better today but now trying to resist eating the rest of a bag of Flipz.

Invest in yourself. Make sure you take the time to do things that you enjoy. Try something new that you've always wanted to do. Did manage to be presentable (just about) when friend called round this afternoon.

No spending on takeaways, drinks out, etc unless prearranged and budgeted for. No takeaways today.

Try to find free activities to do. Will do.

Exercise - it won't be long before the darker nights start drawing in so make the most of it while you can. Get outdoors for walk/run/cycle even if only for 10 minutes. Into the garden this morning hacking through the jungle to get to clean the windows. Took all the debris round to the back - though not to the incinerator yet. Good job the tree surgeon came last week as the tree still lost a few smaller branches in the wind. Friend came round & was amazed at improvement in poorly dog. I'm very grateful to her for looking at her or me last week & recommending her vet..

    Go Turtles!!

Really windy in Yorkshire yesterday but only a little bit of rain. Managed to get washing dry on the line, took the dog to the woods and ran in the evening. Lovely so far today and have been out on the bike, it is getting colder when I'm out on it now so it was full gloves and a base layer today.

Cleaning and meal prep plus dog walking for the rest of the day then work tomorrow for a full ay.

Managed a walk to the Health Centre to pick up some prescriptions and hand in some consent forms. Apparently you now have to nominate someone in writing to collect prescriptions if you find yourself unable to do it.

After yesterday we have had a beautiful, sunny day if still a bit windy. Hung some heavy items outside to dry. They're still slightly damp but they'll finish off overnight.

Have updated the Tesco holiday order and organised the packing.

We got a letter from the Dutch railways today to say they would refund the cost of a hotel room we had to book into in January as our train was stopped en route because of bad weather. German railways have already refunded the cost of the train ticket. Nice surprise.

Off now to organise dinner before the football starts again.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
  • Today I am grateful for a good day at work, for easy driving, for the warmth, for starting to get my head around what I am doing tomorrow, for dd enjoying her day, for dd agreeing to just visiting 1 school today and getting a tour arranged for the other, for dh feeding us early, for crafting plans.

Duvet day. Brushing my teeth last night set off a coughing fit that meant I had to sleep sitting up, very sleepy today, very dizzy, nearly everything on the 'to do' list is impossible (either physically or for not wanting to pass on germs.

Major achievements have been getting up and downstairs once (holding the rail with both hands and had to stop and rest my forehead on the wall part way) for wraps and sandwich fillings (used for 2 meals) and managing to wash myself sitting on a stool in the bath using the shower attachment and using the towel rail and shower fitting to hold onto climbing in and out of the bath.

Not spent any money, not done anything, not feeling guilty.

Today I am grateful that I did not need to go out in the rain (not much of a 'storm' just grey and lots of rain), for easy food from the freezer and for painkillers (ironically I had picked up a ys bottle of sugar free cough medicine yesterday, but couldn't get it open because of the childproof top).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Haven't posted for ages, unfortunately both me and OH have had the lurgy for the past week and haven't had the energy to do anything other than come home from work, slump in the sofa for a while and then go for bed early. Haven't managed many NSDs as just been grabbing what we want to eat from supermarket (incredibly unhealthy diet as been eating ready meals or stuff that can be bunged in the oven). Still sounding fairly ropey but at least energy levels are getting back to normal.

Set your budgets - some not looking too great but payday a week tomorrow so will manage
Use up - not really done this but will do a food inventory tomorrow and see what needs used
NSDs - unfortunately totally lost count
Spread some sunshine - haven't felt in a spreading sunshine mood :rotfl:
    Healthy eating - :o
Invest in yourself - lots of rest
No spending - haven't spent anything here
    Exercise - :o

Quick update, good day Today, NSD achieved, also had a really positive meeting at work which is excellent news. Although I've just landed a new job so won't get the see the results but it's still positive. And OH is a step closer to becoming fully self employed and taking over a business. Scary but exciting.

On the MSE front I decided to send back the blazer I ordered as it looked dreadful when I put it on. Nice savings!
