Added 2 more NSDs - now up to six. Did a lot in the house, including tackling teetering piles of washing up, rubbish and recycling; some admin, delivering birthday cards and cooking the lamb for Christmas dinner (is that prepared enough). Very pleased as my arm was nagging badly and had no ibruprofen. Unblocked the bathroom sink - hurray.

Took 2 co-codamol and slept for several hours. Worked on baby blankets whilst listening to an old P D James serial. Today took 2 books back to the library and bought ibruprofen. Rest of the day will be mostly baby blankets again.

Today I am grateful for my bed, ibruprofen and hot baths (not had one yet).

apple muncher - I did get soaked. I did manage to see some wild parrots closer that I have previously.
Was a spend day. Food top up, bath bomb, swimsuits and somethings for the bath, also body spray.
Used the bath bomb tonight in bath as my treat for the month.
Went to the cinema also well. Really enjoyed the film.
Found somewhere to go swimming and ice skating. Can get a card for paying only when you go.
Had my hair cut. My hairdresser comes to the flat.

Today I am grateful for more sunshine than was forecast, for finding some reasonably-priced HP items in pr1mark for dd (cmas/bday), for finding a honeysuckle plant that should screen off noisy nosy little nighbour more next summer, for interesting reads on t'interweb, for the mortgage being soooo close to the 19k mark, for swallowing a small frog.

Thanks Apple, I am feeling the strain of still working through the holidays but the lure of extra money keeps me going on a bad day.

Not a SFD as took my dad out for lunch for doing my tax return for me :) and then bought chocolate and oranges. Swimming and dog walking did exercise and a whole afternoon and evening on the sofa watching tv which was lovely.

    Hi all :j

The flowers for August are the Gladioli and the Poppy which represents beauty, strength, love, marriage and family

Still ploughing through the neverending washing piles & studiously ignoring the enormous ironing mountain, am going to run out of fine weather though I think before I run out of washing..I will then have to iron..

Aim – for 15 NSD’s still 5/15. Spend day today with my supermarket sweep & hair appointment, but hopefully will claw back some nsds in the latter part of the month.

Update (Budgets) – will keep receipts of all spends since back in the UK, at least for another month.

Get (prepared for Xmas) – Just bought some wool for gift, now need to find an easy pattern.

Utilise (free activities in your area) - none today

Share (money saving tips) – already done
Treat (yourself) – I would like everyone to budget £3 for a luxury item, I think this will be some Twinings, but will decide later

The challenge will run from 1st August 00:01 until 31st August 00:00.

    Go turtles!!!!!!
New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear

    Thanks for that!

T0sc0 till spit is £5 of a £25 school uniform,be warned!! they sent me a £5 off £25 spend in the post as well. I would have split the £50 shop if I had known I was getting another £5 voucher. Grr, but still, £5 off is still £5 off.

    Good Morning Lovely Turtles!!

Shhh, it's a bit quiet this week, isn't it?

Shoe shopping, back pack and lunch box buying today x 4 (kill me now!!)

If you hear a sonic boom around 10-30 today, that is the sound of my head imploding as we have reached the level of my patience.

2 to Table Tennis club ths morning £1 each - bargain

Looks grey and drizzly here this morning but 25 odd so humid and yucky.

    Midmonth Review

    Aim 8/15

Update (Budgets) still in the black, will end the month with an excess! I think

Utilise (free activities in your area) low spend kids things - £1 a day, but not many free ones now.

Share (money saving tips) am trying

Treat (yourself) not doing well at this, am reading, but I feel very unappreciated

Budgetwise - looking good, even with all this daft uniform, in the black, would be very flush if it was not for all this new kit needed.

    Have a great Saturday
