I have a TalkTalk phone line for broadband. If I change to another provider for broadband can I get the new provider to take over the phone line too?0
-
Yes because they go through BT lines dont they, i have just looked at plusnet, and it says i dont have a compatible phone line, for just broadband and would have to take a phone package too, which i want anyway and they allow £25 for that, just look at the plusnet site and it will ask for your phone no too check,i am ringing tomorrow,0

Look like the 18 month contract offer the best deal for ADSL broadband at the moment.
It's 0 for the broadband in the first year, 155 for the land line upfront, 5.99 for router, 2 for inclusive w.end and evening (or 0 if you don't need inclusive)
Also there is potential £91 cash back from TCB.
So if taking this deal without inclusive phone calls it's £161 for the first year all included. and if you can pull the cash back it's £70/year or £5.83/month.
:money:Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

Oh dear, forgot all about tis and rang Plusnet yesterday, also rang TT to ask if there would be any cancellation fee to pay if cancelling only 1 day early, the person i spoke to was quite aggressive when i said i was moving to Plusnet, and tried offering me all kinds of deals,as a last resort offered me a deal for £20 a month for 12 months ,but full price at £35 for the rest of the 18 months, said i had to go out[true] but i would think it over, but still going with plusnet ---i think0

I'm pretty sure cancellation charges are effectively per day so the charge for one day would be quite small. The charges are on the TalkTalk website.0 -

Can anyone tell me why no one is taking this up now that the paperwork is minimal?
Hi! this sounds intriguing - can you tell us a bit your experience with this??0 -
I am still getting a Plusnet "Offer code discount - feboffer14" of £7/month. Wonder how log it has to run before that discount disappears.0

I bought the Virgin deal as reported in your MSE site.
This is 4 GBP a month for 8 months and then 17.50 GBP for the remaining 4 months plus the usual line rental.
However at confused.com it seems that there is the same deal for 4 GBP a month for 18 months or for 12 months plus line rental. This is much cheaper!
Am I missing something? Are there any hidden commissions?
Can I refuse the deal from uswitch and get the one from confused.com and stay with the same company, Virgin?
The cooling-off period of 28 days should still be valid as only 10 days are passed from the deal, although the engineer has already installed the Virgin line at the house.
Any help will be more than appreciated0 -
If anyone from MSE reads this forum I have a question.
When either arranging or reporting broadband deals can you find out if there is an option to upgrade from ADSL2 to fibre broadband if it becomes available during the contract term. Fast broadband is still being rolled out and I wouldn't like to be trapped with slow broadband due to contract terms.0
