Hi neilmcl, I'm not going to post links to other sites or forums I'm afraid. If your interested please do a search for yourself.
I do sincerely hope that somebody from Amazon's Management team is reading this thread. It would also be good to hear Martin Lewis's own views with regards to what Amazon's business practices are and whether he agrees with it or not. Who knows it might be featured on one of his programmes in the near future just like it was featured on Watchdog. I sincerely believe that a programme like Watchdog would not feature Amazon and it's business practices unless it was totally justified and each case having been investigated thoroughly.

If they are they will be thinking what a good job they are doing, room for improvement, sure (there always is), but on the whole a good show.

Ahhh......Watchdog - so called investigative journalism who wheel out a couple of sad looking 'victims' and accept their story as gospel.

And btw OP I doubt Martin Lewis is reading since he cashed in this website years ago.

Hi deannatrois, thanks for your post and sharing your story. Amazon definitely need to improve their customer service and transparency imho.

Few people have a problem with Amazon's customer service. Personally I've found it second to none. What improved transparency do you want?

He wasn't routinely reading the forum for years prior to the sale of this site, so I sincerely doubt he's reading it now..

Thank you, I've bought some of those magnets , I have an idea of a use for them and at that price I could afford to buy a couple of lots to play around with.

As for this thread, the story appears to change every few posts, and no doubt we can look forward to seeing it again in 2 years time.

However, for the record I am not aware of anyone afraid to order from Amazon in case they get banned. In fact when my 7 month old kindle developed an issue I went through their trouble shooting help line, they decided it was properly broken and without me even asking sent me a new one the same day. All I had to do was wait for the packaging that the new one arrived in and send back my old one. All completely free of charge. I cannot praise their after care enough.

Be very careful with those magnets, i have some that are 20mm and 2mm thick. A bundle of 20 is very strong and i accidently lost grip of another magnet and it broke 3 of them from the impact.

Not a faulty product or anything, just brittle and need to be treated with car. 10mm diameter wont be as strong but at 1mm thick they need careful treatment.

If your playing you may break them.

If your playing get 100+ of the 3mm square ones, everyone i handed them to, found themselves playing with them. Addictive. :)

Of more concern is that they can cause your watch, hi-fi speakers and even heart pace makers to malfunction.

It states this quite clearly in the product description, but still worth mentioning...

You're the one that's making these claims, how do you expect anyone to believe you if you don't back it up with some evidence. For all we know all these forums of yours could well have a vested interest in all things Amazon and therefore by their very nature will have a skewed opinion base.

Don't worry Soolin the ones I linked to are pretty weak and won't cause any injury unless you swallow them.

There are others that I have from Amazon too that are much stronger and could easily cause some mischief.

They are the worry beads of 2018 - enjoy!

Hi just put in amazon banned returns into Google and all the forum threads come up. If you then click on news at the top it will tell you what Amazon have recently been doing in the US with regards to banning people without any prior warning. Amazon should state in its terms and conditions as to what it classes as abuse, what is an acceptable returns rate etc. Some people have asked for a facility on their Amazon account so they can then actually see what their actual returns rate are. Also Amazon should contact all customers before banning them once they hit a certain level of returns or refunds, try to work with the customer and if after that it continues then by all means ban them. What I don't agree with is Amazon banning customers without any prior warning. In effect greater transparency is what I'm asking from Amazon.

I've posted twice mow explaining why it would leave their system open to abide if they did this but you have ignored my comments both times.

Everytime you post on here it just backs up what I said about you being extremely biased against Amazon. it's always good to be proven right!

Also this post very much supports the others posters view that you have previously been banned. You seem to really want Amazon to reveal the details of exactly how someone would be banned, which is strange considering you claim to have no personal dealings with the company.
If you have never been banned and have no plans to use Amazon then why would you want their policies to change very odd.
