Hi, I can assure you that I have not been banned by Amazon and that is not the reason why I have posted this thread. At one point in time I used to buy everything from Amazon however I got fed up receiving0

broken and damaged items because of Amazon's poor packaging and handling by their delivery drivers. I used to order a lot of cd's and dad's. Most arrived with broken cases including the inside of the case where the cd or dvd sits. More expensive items arrived with all the packaging broken inside. Why should I or any other customer accept goods that have been paid for and delivered in that condition. Amazon really have a poor reputation with regards to computer components as they are not correctly packaged and a lot arrive DOA because of this. Amazon also sells a lot of Mobile phones but if you look at certain threads on the Web including Amazon own forums a lot of people seem to receive their supposed new phones with no seal on them or the seal removed which clearly indicates that they are not new. People who are Amazon customers are now actually scared to order from Amazon for fear of being banned. Other Amazon customers just accept faulty and damaged items and dare not return them for fear of being banned. Amazon is ruling by fear now and this is no way for any corporate business big or small to behave imho.0

Nobody is going to take you seriously when you are making it up as you go along.
If you look hard enough online you will find similar complaints about any retailer.
You have a personal crusade against Amazon but as you can see there are plenty satisfied customers, myself included.0 -

Regardless, your thread seems to have garnered only responses overwhelmingly favourable to Amazon.
All your anti-Amazon threads have gone this way, do you not see a pattern?Amazon really have a poor reputationPeople who are Amazon customers are now actually scared to order from Amazon for fear of being banned. Where are you getting this from? Not one person on this thread has said they are frightened to order from Amazon or has said they accept faulty or damaged items for fear of being banned.0 -
Hi apologies for the confusion. I personally don't have an Amazon account for moral and ethical reasons. However on the very rare occasion which I can count as once only I did get a friend to order something from Amazon on behalf of a family member. Personally I think Amazon have got too big and should have never been allowed to get as big as they are. Many people shop with them because they are cheap, however because of Amazon, how many reta
So what you are saying is you don't actually have any morals or principles. A bit like what you are accusing Amazon of.0 -
Prime member and have no issues with them banning people that return more than a fair share of items.
Im sure if those buyers are genuine they could appeal?
Only real issues i have had is a book that arrived damaged, the replacement was damaged, 3rd or 4th time lucky? Packaging perfect just a large dent/tear like it was snagged on a fixing?
Seems odd to stop using them because they are taking an active approach to block people that cause prices/costs to increase. But you dont appear so sure now.. you will still use them when they have something you need?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Hi everyone thanks for all your replies. Just for your information I don't have a personal crusade against Amazon as many other people on many different forums have very similar views to myself and because of Amazon's behaviour and stance re returns and other business practices no longer shop with Amazon. Just to add that I don't believe that Watchdog would have featured Amazon's wrong practices re returns on their programme if it was not justified. Clearly the responses received so far are heavily biased in Amazon's favour but that is fine. We all have different opinions. Still does not change ho0

how I feel about Amazon though. I just hope that none of you ever get banned by them in the future as nobody really knows what their algorithm is re returns. All I'm asking for is greater transparency from Amazon. That's all0

As I said earlier, all of your threads have garnered responses heavily in favour of Amazon, so why post about the same thing several times?how I feel about Amazon though.
