  • This looks great, thanks OP.
  • I tried completing the application, but Raisin said they were unable to open an account. I phoned to ask why, the very unhelpful guy who I spoke to said it is because what we put down on the form has to exactly match what is on the (he said) electoral roll (he meant open register, I think, which is different). If your name is slightly different or the address does not match exactly (i.e. line for line) then it will be rejected. I omitted to put my middle name on the application (as it did not have an asterix) he suggested that could be the reason, I said we can not change that part as the edit details button does not include name. He said they were aware and are looking to change that. He eventually said he could do that over the phone, so I gave him my middle name, that did not help, still refused, he suggested that I look up my entry on the electoral roll online, I said we are not able to check that online, so he then suggested telephoning the council, who were helpful. Apparently my middle name is just my initial, so that has to now be corrected again. My address is perfect, except the application does not have enough lines so does not include county, which is included in the open register. I did point out that on the application, we only enter postcode and then choose from a drop down list of addresses, so asked why this fills out incorrectly in some (my) case, he was not helpful at all. All this time and effort for £50, I can't be bothered.
  • just out of interest - I had the same address issue. I picked my address from THEIR drop down box....and it told me it was incorrect - but entered it manually and all was fine.......,

I chose their auto fill and for some reason it entered an extra digit before my house number that I didn't notice for a while. I kept getting rejected until I noticed and fixed it.

They generally acknowledge your request for the £50 bonus soon after you make it, ie within a couple of days. It can be several weeks before it is paid into your linked account.
