Yesterday part two. Stopped at home to eat, let my sore feet cool off a bit then went back to continue the suitcase hunt, went for more library books, tackled an enormous pile of (non-sorted) rubbish (DS3 and Belove have a friend coming to visit - turned out that was just from the front room, another 4 bags appeared, piled up in the bin, later), put a big dent in the washing up mountain, put washing out to dry, put more in, noticed the rice cooker (let Beloved know that the contents had turned grey and wer attemping to climb out).
Oh, did a quick defrost of the freezer with a wooden spoon and filled it (had asked them to write a list, can't let them and the guest starve next week), finished reading my book. Dozed off and woke at 1.28am, took my clothes of and pulled a sheet over me.
Slept really well. Woke at 6.30am and had my pills, wrote the inspiration, ate and dozed a little more. Gathered all tthe stuff (1 suitcase, 1 bag of food including stuff for my meals and some paperwork) and went to mum's. have walked home (slowly)
Today I am grateful for beautiful bedding plants outside the library, having a stock of good reading material, doing more walking, wonderful sleep, not spending any money (thought I had forgotten binbags but they were in my rucksack). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Checking for the last working day of the week - well, salaried work that is, I guess I should think of flogging stuff at the market as work too. Was not a spend day today as they had fish cakes in the canteen and i` really fancied one. Ate it with my salad. Finished the baking tonight and all is packed and ready to go and I have to sy that I am totally done in. Ill certainly sleep well tonight .
Today I am grateful for spending time watching rubbish tv with my family for half an hour, especially with DS2 who is usually at university.Trying to keep in budget.

Hi all :j
A Ask yourself 'Is this necessary?' Before purchasing anything. Some spends today, were definitely not necessary, but enjoyable. Went out for a planned lunch, then did a bit of shopping in the garden centre. It's a very expensive place, but I always head for the 'sin bin' where they stick all the reduced plants. Got loads of goodies, now have to get them in before the promised heatwave kills them..When you make a 'to do' list (is it realistic or even possible); Discussed this with friend this afternoon. Could call it a might do list, Probably need to make a big list, even if just to cross off stuff that is getting done, as motivation LOL. Look forward to the discipline of actually doing this...woooo
J June challenge runs from 1st June to 30th. Aiming for tough target. Still 12/20
U Use the food you have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base your meals on. Meal plan (for the month or for a few days at a time, whichever suits). Cook from scratch (short cuts permitted if you are feeling stressed) Lunch was eaten out; tea was from stores, improv with beef sandwich for DH; I made mini quiches out of stand & stuff tortillas....who knew? Then made chocolate mug cakes in microwave; his was OK in a large starb*cks mug, mine looked like a nuclear explosion :rotfl:
N No takeaways, coffee, chip or pie shop purchases. Nope.
E Eating well is a form of self respect. Hmm.
O Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Waves pompoms wildly encouragingly!! Was kind to myself by going out for lunch, coming back then relaxing (!!) with books, then making an easy tea...
D Debt or savings payments should be made first - live on what is left No debt other than cc I use for all purchases to get rewards - which is paid off in full every month. Will need to get the cc bill down during the month with payments made daily (PAD thread) to avoid large bill at end of month. nor today..
E Exercise according to your programme or your ability. Minimum of 3 times a week. Try to get outside every day. Outside today, in the evening to water the garden.
S Set all your budgets before the start of the month. Food, travel, social, diy, other. Have filled in a lot of the spreadsheet but it is still a wip, will add rest. More to add tomorrow, then need to take stock as cannot possibly need any more food. Receipts to add tomorrow.
S Someone, somewhere is worse off than you. Donate to the local food bank or other charity of your choice. Clear some of your clutter and donate the goods to charity. Will be amassing stuff to take to CS as I clear the clutter; also intend to sell better items to pay for hols booked for August. Ironed some stuff ready for photos & charged up tablet for photos. Weekend project now
E Every day check in is recommended, especially when things go wrong. 22/30 here I am..
You are the most important person in your life. You are your own longest term investment. You matter. Read this and the daily quotes, take on anything you find relevant and helpful, ditch the rest. Reading, learning & inwardly digesting. Help and support on here is the best..progress slow but steady..keep on keeping on. Good day doing what we wanted for a change, felt relaxed for the first time in a while...
Look after yourself Indigo:eek:

Today won!!!8217;t be a NSD as I need to get a birthday card and some food from the shop. But I will be heading to the allotment soon to hopefully harvest strawberries and broad beans. Might be too late to plant out the French beans, but if I can clear a spot I!!!8217;ll give it a go. It!!!8217;s got very overgrown thanks to the house move!
Today I!!!8217;m grateful for a sunny breakfast in the garden, listening to the birds. And free strawberries!0 -
Gosh those extra characters are annoying. No more quick posts on my phone!0

Today will not be a NSD it is very much a planned spend day.
Millions of things to do, all the places to go on a list,
What does not get done today (before the football) will be done tomorrow (before the football) or Monday (before the football) - I am loving this!!
Lots of inside jobs planned - I am hiding from the dangerous radiation but do need a trawl through town (before the football)
Totally converted to the market in town. Masses more fruit and veg for my money.
Half a carrier bag full of blueberries for £1 kept the kids going for 3 days, and they do not believe in small portions.
Just need to keep an eye on it, as it does not last quite as long, but no food lasts long with 4 boys. Also need to turn the temp down further on the fridge I think. I forget stuff like that - hot weather means fridge needs to be colder.
So on with the staycation. The weather is warm, the fridge is still full of YS beer and beer-free-beer, there is football on't telly, and I have birthday money and a list.
And my courgettes have buds on.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Good morning all
Today is a NSD as I have no money :rotfl:I have £4.45 to be exact & £8 in my purse  However I don't need anything. I've been to Aldi & bought all I needed for the week.
I was up until 1am this morning making a collage of Paris for my kids. I am pretty impressed with it!!the boys will love it & it cost pence in comparison to the ones online that are made for you. plus it's plastic not glass on the front so I don't have to panic if the kids pull it off the wall.:D
I am going to spend the day getting caught up while the kids go in the garden with their Daddy. Planning on getting some fairy light on pay day as ours broke. I have the means to buy them now , credit card over draft savings etc but I really need to start sticking to budget as that little bit rolls over then it has a knock on affect for the next month.
Grateful for - my rose plant , which looks beautiful in my garden. my sons nursery phoning me to have a chat about some concerns I had, I now feel much better. my husband being home albeit very briefly:T0
