Oh I feel for the hay-fever sufferers. Used to have it really bad back in Germany but here up north it fortunately barely bothered me. Only got it in my teenage years but DD (3) has a mild form too.

I wonder if you who already harvest beans etc live down south. My first bean seedlings died of cold this year and the current ones are only 5-10 inches tall.

Decided to take the rest of the damaged lilac out and plant another mini apple tree.

Anyway better try and get back to sleep.
DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/25
  • So I didn't get a nsd yesterday, went to playgroup with ds and then went to 1celand, I only had £4.50 in my purse so I spent that on milk, butter, yoghurts, and strawberries.
Did have to go back to shops later and get some father's day things. I have to buy for dh, my dad, fil and dads birthday!
Spent £24, but I still need to get something for a birthday present.

Sold a high chair for £10, which I'm going to pay off my n3xt account, as that's accumulating interest. I'm going to join the pad challenge today for inspiration.

Went for a 5 mile run last night, so I got my exercise.

Bleurgh to hayfever. I am not coping well, I think if I had always had it, I might be used to it by now. But it has only been really really bad for about the last 5 years. I am grumpy and miserable. If I so much as set foot out of the house I have a stabbing headache before I even get to the car door handle. But I have to get kids to school (and they seem to relish cutting the grass in the morning before the gates open)
    ok, whinge over.

Can't remember how many NSDs I have.
Did quite well with YS bits and bobs.

DH is off for the weekend in a field with his mates (he will come back sunburnt and knackered)

I am going to enjoy the world cup (football 3 x a day!!!) . make a pallet into a couple of planters or DH's corn will die (why did he buy corn when we have a paved yard? Because it makes odd coloured corn cobs) Yes, dear Turtles, I married a twit with a spending habit.
I stlll have a million jobs on my stupid 5 minute job list - but as I have an unlimited supply of 5 minuteses, I shall get on with it.

Watched the fast fix diabetes programme on tv last night. Wow!

Right, stuff to do, kids to herd, shoes to find,

Hugs Indigo grief is a process not a timeline. Get well, be kind to yourself now for the sake of your future self.

Half way through June already! This year seems to be racing along.

Better get on with things or I will find myself doing the Xmas shopping wondering what the heck has happened to the year.

**** warning, this weekend may involve a bolster chisel and hammer ******

    Good morning all :D

The storm has left quite a bit of damage in our garden, slide has snapped off our little tykes climbing frame :( & there's and plants have been blown over. luckily I did bring the lighter ones in. Hub is pretty handy luckily so I have high hopes he can fix the slide. our neighbors brand new garden furniture all got smashed so we could have had it worse.

Shopping tonight but I have a carefully planned list& budget to make sure I'm on track . Looked at our money last night & made a few adjustments to our plans. Going away in Dec but we were planning on going for2 nights , we have now changed that to one. I am not sure why I ever booked 2 really other than it is a long drive. We only have one Activity. Anyway , saved ,£150 (it's down south in a fairly posh area )

Put my name down for over time next week too. Any extra money now is going to go towards our day out in December- we have agreed The kids have plenty of activities planned now and we don't need any more booking , our aim now needs to be on keeping our finances on track.

Soo much house work to do tonight  Having a fathers day meal at ours on Sunday with some friends so I want it looking nice :j

apple - good heavens that is one expensive table for a school fair:eek:.

No real storm damage here, plenty of broken branches but otherwise we seem to have dodged it.

Lots of housework to do today ready for the weekend.

I did the Ice mastercard thingy yesterday and got 2 M&S gift codes which I spent on school uniform for DD which is to be collected from store tomorrow.

For all the hay-fever sufferers I really hope it ease soon is sounds dreadful. DH used to suffer badly but not so much the last few years, I've never suffered but in the last few months I've had a few sore throats, stuffy head, stinging eyes and runny nose so I wonder if it is such a bad year it is even affecting non sufferers.

A Ask yourself 'Is this necessary?' Before purchasing anything. Today is a nsd. When you make a 'to do' list (is it realistic or even possible); Went for a walk and due to see Home Treatment Team later.

J June challenge runs from 1st June to 30th.Light target and today is a NSD so 8/10

U Use the food you have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base your meals on. Meal plan (for the month or for a few days at a time, whichever suits). Cook from scratch (short cuts permitted if you are feeling stressed) food made from stores for lunch and dinner... Everthing I eat today will be out of cupboards

N No takeaways, coffee, chip or pie shop purchases..NSD today

E Eating well is a form of self respect. Comfort food
O Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Waves pompoms wildly encouragingly!!Wont be donating anything today.

D Debt or savings payments should be made first - £76.13 into savings. 6 days until payment day when my budget resets

E Exercise according to your programme or your ability. Minimum of 3 times a week. Try to get outside every day. Went for a walk around town

S Set all your budgets before the start of the month. Food, travel, social, diy, other. Budget resets in a week. Will write budget later.
S Someone, somewhere is worse off than you. Donate to the local food bank or other charity of your choice. Clear some of your clutter and donate the goods to charity. Done

E Every day check in is recommended, especially when things go wrong. Here.

You are the most important person in your life. You are your own longest term investment. You matter. Read this and the daily quotes, take on anything you find relevant and helpful, ditch the rest.I am doing okay today, baring in mind that it might be short. Went for a walk and took some lovely pictures of the area I am in. Going to revise my budget now I know the actual figure. I should be able to put quite a bit into savings without feeling restricted.

Indigo - You're doing well and sounding really positive. xx
I am sorry for all of you hay fever sufferers. I suffered for years with similar symptoms which were caused by nasal polyps. Swabbing the nose with a few drops of tea tree oil on a cotton bud made the most amazing difference to the stuffed up nose feeling but I'm not sure if it would help hay fever.
So today was NSD No 9. I am aiming for 10 so half way through the month that's ok.
Still eating from freezer and stores which is good for the budget but makes the healthy eating just a tad more difficult because there are lots of curries, pies, etc to use up.
Cutting down on alcohol - trying, is the best I can say about that.
    Exercise - total failure!!!!!!!
Still trying to declutter but this is going to take a long, long time. How can we have accumulated so much stuff?
Have made our usual donation to Sightsavers and Barnardos and I have a lot of items for the food bank and the homeless mission. Hope to get them to the collection centre next week (the nearest one only opens on Thursdays).
So, that's me half way through the month. Lets see if I can do a bit better for the next two weeks.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Today I am grateful for warm sunshine, for afternoon tea out with a good friend (my bday treat from her), for the neighbours being quiet, for dh enjoying his shopping trip (he lurves £land etc so never spends a huge amount, plus he had a £2 off voucher today), for dd enjoying school, for discovering there is some rugby on the tv tomorrow, for being sooo near the end of this marking I can smell the freedom.

A - Will definitely be asking if it is necessary before purchasing. Brought the list of food and things to do/get tomorrow and Saturday. Stuck to the list.
    J - 9/20 NSD. Was a spend day.
U - Will be looking into cupboards etc and make sure I will not buy unnecessary and use what already in. Used what was in. Also did some of the things on the to do list.
N - Will bring lunch etc if going out etc. Had school meal. Unofficially I heard that I am at the school until the end of term.
E -Have to make a special effort to more healthy eating. Was ok today. Did drink quite a bit of water.
    O - Will do.
D -Have DD for money already set up to go into savings. All done for the month now.
E - Walked to and from bus stop to work. Also doing errands around school.
S - Have set my budgets.
    S - Done for now.
