Sill feeling wiped out by the hayfever, will comment and provide inspiration tomorrow.

Wasn't allowed near the cakes in case I coughed or sneezed on them but have cut up lots of boxes for trays. She had decided against doing the bears which were the ones I was looking forward to. The clowns look like the dog off the muppets and not impressed with the hats. Despite doing fiddly bits for the last three weeks there are fewer cakes than in previous years.

Going to read and sleep and have a fresh start tomorrow. Grateful that the church fair shenanegins is over again until late November, for the 2 tins of soup I have eaten today (+ 1 small sandwich), that the weekend is here, for progress in my room, for an improved sleep pattern (went off course last night but will try harder tonight), for cooler air circulating.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

    Hi all :j

A Ask yourself 'Is this necessary?' Before purchasing anything. Food purchased today for visitors, but did make a cake from stock in. When you make a 'to do' list (is it realistic or even possible); must have blown the list out of the water the amount of housework/cleaning/cooking/entertaining done today...

J June challenge runs from 1st June to 30th. Aiming for tough target. Still 9/20

U Use the food you have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base your meals on. Meal plan (for the month or for a few days at a time, whichever suits). Cook from scratch (short cuts permitted if you are feeling stressed) Lunch from bought goods plus HM cake, tea HM from stores.

N No takeaways, coffee, chip or pie shop purchases. Nope.

E Eating well is a form of self respect. Good apart from cake!
O Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Waves pompoms wildly encouragingly!! Was kind to relatives, although they always call on us on their way up to their holiday home - we are the half-way point - and have lunch, plus a catch up. Very nice, but it would be good to get an invite from them sometime!!

D Debt or savings payments should be made first - live on what is left No debt other than cc I use for all purchases to get rewards - which is paid off in full every month. Will need to get the cc bill down during the month with payments made daily (PAD thread) to avoid large bill at end of month. Another Daily PAD..

E Exercise according to your programme or your ability. Minimum of 3 times a week. Try to get outside every day. Outside several times with animals after company had left.

S Set all your budgets before the start of the month. Food, travel, social, diy, other. Have all receipts in shoebox awaiting DH revival of spreadsheet..will tackle tomorrow, honest.

S Someone, somewhere is worse off than you. Donate to the local food bank or other charity of your choice. Clear some of your clutter and donate the goods to charity. Will be amassing stuff to take to CS as I clear the clutter; also intend to sell better items to pay for hols booked for August. More items to list on the weekend.

E Every day check in is recommended, especially when things go wrong. 15/30 here I am..

You are the most important person in your life. You are your own longest term investment. You matter. Read this and the daily quotes, take on anything you find relevant and helpful, ditch the rest. Reading, learning & inwardly digesting. Help and support on here is the best..progress slow but steady..keep on keeping on..

Sorry for all those suffering from the pollen etc, hope you get some relief somehow

    Go turtles

    Morning all

A chilled day today , a bit of washing to do but that's about it.

Picked up my M&S pajamas yesterday only for them to be in a bad condition. Get my new ones next week plus a 5 pound gift card as way of an apology. I will go on my lunch next week as it isn't as far from work & saves on petrol.

A huge batman set thing my little boy is after has come in at a good price in Argos with 2 free figures & vehicles. I have bought this & put it in our gift cupboard for the next appropriate occasion. be it it birthday /Xmas etc. Too big for him just to get.

The garden is looking a lot better than it was after the bad weather. Not sure everything will live to tell the tale but we have done what we can.

Have a lovely weekend everyone :)

Another nsd yesterday; today won't be as we are going to go to the local garden centre to get some plant spray. Our beloved feature plant gets attacked by black things every year but can be cured by £5 of spray. Will also pop into Sainsbury's for a couple of bits.

Midwife reckons baby bee is imminent; she was surprised I'd felt nothing happening yet my body is very much on track. Still not feeling much that's terribly dramatic so think I may be a slow and quiet one.

Hayfever ladies - have you all tried the Vaseline around the nostrils trick to trap some of the pollen? Sympathies to you all :(

    NSD 9/10!!
I am really pleased with myself:rotfl:
Been a tough day so taking it easy. Only got 4 cans of diet coke left and then I am giving it up. No room in my budget for it as I need to save.

Made one of the residents a breakfast this morning as I know he struggles with money.
I am greatful I am in a position to be able to do that.

That was a very kind thing to do. Have you tried Aldi or Lidl diet coke. It's a fraction of the price of the branded kind.
Raining heavily here today so we didn't go out. NSD no 10.
Himself has been watching to World Cup and I've been reading so a very lazy day.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
