Thank you f0xh0les, lauren and thrifty - I also have the "issue" of being measured small for dates all the flaming time, keep getting referred. Minimum of 2 weeks small, sometimes 4 weeks small (in fact one midwife at one point made me 5.5!). As I say, growth scans look completely normal though
the other day a little boy I know said he couldn't see that I was pregnant (his dad had said "can't you see, Lavenderbee is going to have a baby?" He looked puzzled and said "No?..." :rotfl: - I'd be less disconcerted except I was a size 8 at the start of my pregnancy...).
Thank you for the relative advice f0xh0les - there is one vital point which you couldn't possibly know about. Said elderly relative desperately needs to replace their very old, knackered sofa with some more ergonomically suitable furniture for someone with their health conditions and advanced age. It's ridiculous, they have the money, it's having such a negative impact on health, but they won't do it, even if it means they get stuck on said furniture. If I could get my waters to break on the damn thing, they'd have to replace it, and I would be hailed as a heroine and goddess amongst the family :A
I cannot swim  - it's often been an issue but I don't think I've ever regretted it as much as I have when my pelvic girdle pain stopped me from exercising early in pregnancy, it would have been the only thing I could have done. It's on my to-do list for baby bee; early swimming lessons.
No spends planned for today (should be 7/10). Today I am giving myself a pedicure before my afternoon walk - you can add that to the funny image of "can't tan the back of my legs". I can totally understand why some women treat themselves to a pedicure at the end, but I couldn't spend money on something I can do myself :money: even if it probably is a bit of a sight... (only my cat is watching me)
Hugs to those that need them today.0 -
LavenderBee, you don't need to be able to swim to go in the pool. There was just something nice to get out of the heat, and to 'take the weight off' - if you see what I mean.
Our pool was always full of older people who were doing a kind of water aerobics that they had been told to do by their doctors as non-weight bearing exercise. One just marched on the spot for 5 minutes and got out again. Mind you, they had a very cheap offer for pensioners in the gym and the pool was included. It was about £15 a month, so the whole place was busy with all sorts of people.
Good idea about baby swim lessons.
That sofa might be tempting fate though.....
Good luck with the nail varnish:rotfl: been there done that x 4 :rotfl:4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I feel another confession coming on... I'm practically phobic of swimming pools and large bodies of water. Bad experience in childhood
It's something I've tried to confront several times but it takes me at least an hour to get in, I'm too worried to enjoy it. Even walking past the town swimming pool, smelling the chlorine worries me. I'm normally a very logical, rational and level-headed person; so it does annoy me. I don't want baby bee picking up on that so I'd like him/her to enjoy it before they realise mummy is very worried and perhaps there is something to be scared of.
Nail varnish onI shall have pretty feet whilst I'm pushing a watermelon out... £25 saved :money:

Have spent a bit today. Yep, you've guessed it. things for the boy but if you can't spend money on that what can you spend it on. Just tiny bits and pieces but it's making him so happy that I feel happy as well. So that got to be a good thing, isn't it?
Himself bought me the most beautiful fuschia tower. It looks lovely and that's made me happy too.
So all in all I've had a happy day. I feel very contented.
Love to you all. xxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Spent about £39 today.Went out with a friend for a coffee, she kindly paid. We had a nice walk and had quite a good chat about Liberalism. (I am quite liberal)
Then went to Tesco and spent £9 on food. (I put a bag of porridge into the food bank). Come home and sorted out my Tesco sim only contract. I switched to pay as you go but, I need plenty of data as dont have any wifi so it would be to expensive in the end and had to pay £30 for that.No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 1340 -
A question to all you resourceful turtles - has anyone had experience with Z33k the gift voucher website - I've accumulated an amount of cashback and the pay-outs are higher for this particular outlet.
I'm trying to maximise my spending power as I have a Uni starter in September to kit out and am looking around for best deals.
.
We've used Z33k - saved quite a lot of money on our sofas from N3xt in doing so

Evening all
NSD 5 / 10 today0 -
So, not an NSD.
I dropped my mobile on my broken foot. I am now phoneless and ready to pop. I was due an upgrade (I am with ID mobile on a sim only plan; but I only use a tiny fraction of my allowances so for the same price as my sim only I've upgraded to a plan with a phone). Not counting that as a spend as it hasn't actually cost anything; but I have ordered a new cover because I do have a habit of dropping phones. So declaring a personal spend of £8.99. Phone is due to arrive tomorrow thank goodness. Just hope the delivery driver can find me (they usually can't and have to phone me for directions, except I have no phone...)
F0xh0les will be pleased to learn that I am definitely not going to drive off seeing relatives now, I am not stubborn enough to go driving around without a mobile phone0 -
