Have been cycling this morning and ran last night. All food from stores today (usually the case here), naked burritos for tea, will probably be a salad for lunch for me.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Manged some of today's to do list but not all but I did do a bit of batch cooking to put in the boy's freezer. Not too bad though. Not an NSD as we needed a few things so picked up some bits of pieces for the boy. It is amazing how much you need when you start out. Well, not exactly need but things that you kind of take for granted. Nothing really expensive, though. Just a couple of pounds. However, I do have a very good colander which I don't use and some nice mugs. I don't know who is more excited him or me.
So, as far as the household is concerned dinner tonight is left over chicken and I've made stock from the carcass. The boy has gone to a concert with his Dad.
On the minus side, dental crown fell out. Oh how I hate the dentist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I find it difficult to breathe through my nose because of a medical condition and I feel like I'm choking whilst he's poking about in my mouth - really scary! Trying a DIY solution for the time being but it will probably only be temporary. Either that or I live with the space where the tooth should be. Oh well, vanity?
So all in all not too bad a day.

You never know, you may need more newborn sized nappies than you think. DS3 was full term (40w +2) and they told me to expect him to be 8lb 7 or more (previous ones ranged from 7lb 2 to 7 10) - but was born at under 6lb (and was in prem nappies until around 7weeks) Plus newborns poo all the time at first (eg when the sneeze) - and some are pretty explosive. And then there's the surprise poo-s when you've literally just changed a wet nappy.

Thank you greent; I thought I was being sensible financially and environmentally. We're using reusable ones long term, and using the money saved by doing that to buy expensive biodegradable disposables for the first 6 weeks. To save money I bought these in bulk... I recently Googled the question and very few said their full term babies were in them for that long! Hubby's family produce big babies; but I'm smaller and so are my family. I had a growth scan at 36 weeks and baby was already estimated to be 6 1/2lbs then, and I'm going to go overdue too. Just depends how accurate that scan was...
On NSD 6/10 today, did have an extra spend after posting last night of a father's day card. Went for my 'encouraging baby out' walk by myself today, as hubs is away as usual. What used to be a 15 minute warm up lap for a longer run was a 50 minute walk today (if I'd known that I wouldn't have committed to going so far on my poor foot) Tackled a frog that felt like an elephant from my to-do list this morning. Didn't necessarily get me anywhere (dealing with utility companies) and I may have to repeat the exercise in 4-6 weeks time; but I feel better for knowing there is nothing I can do for now, I've done my bit.
Umming and ahhing about whether to offer to visit an elderly relative this week as I'm sure baby is nowhere near coming; but I would have to go by myself (about 40 minutes drive, reckon I can do that on my foot now). The relative probably doesn't want a visit but it'll save other family members from feeling that they ought to go, it'd be more of a favour to them.0 -

My husband's family have big babies too - he was 10lb+ - I was born at 42weeks +6days and 6lb 5Baby will come when good and ready - and be whatever size it feels
ANd visiting relative? - no - if it's a favour to others rather than something you really want to do - no. You are 9 months pregnant - even if you feel that you can drive ok, you haven't been driving distances because of your foot. Make the most of this baby free time and rest up!- perhaps take newborn to see relative in the next few weeks instead? xx
ETA: - growth scans.... my sister had a baby last year and had lots of scans throughout pregnancy (due to previous issues) to check growth and all ok etc. Baby came 3 weeks early and was almost 10lb!! - they had not estimated that at all! - so am never too sure of the accuracy of them re size after my and her experiences!x

Today has been nsd 5! Am trying to go to Friday no spending. Thursday is my exception. I can feel it hanging over me and to be honest will be keen to have it over done with it. I know its going to hurt.
Have taken care of myself today. Read some Harry Potter and had a nap. Hoping to make a food bank donation on the 20th.
Hope everyone has enjoyed the sun.No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 1340 -

I agree. My daughter had a baby 6 months ago, and she was told all the way through that he was a big baby, it quite stressed her outShe had lots of scans because he was an IVF baby
He weighed in at 8lbs 2oz, which is probably a bit bigger than average, but by no means exceptional.

Was a spend day for me - I went to Sainsburys to get the things I couldn't get in Lidls yesterday, and to donate to the food bank (they have a collection trolley).
I will update my spreadsheet (and signature) in a minute. I am not counting my charity donation, even though it was in the form of groceries purchased, as part of my personal grocery budget if that is ok. I bought the items listed on the Food Bank's facebook page as urgently required this week, and it came to £6.80.0
