Thank you greent and dawn - sounds like we have the same issues greent; two opposing sets of criteria from each parent battling it out to see who the offspring will take after! DH was 10 1/2lbs and siblings and their offspring have all been big too. As I say, I reckon I'm in for a long wait. Partly why I was thinking of doing a relative visit as she is by herself, it would take some time out of one of my days. I know I'll be asked for "tour" arrangements from the family once the baby is here anyway. Suffice to say I will be doing nothing until I am comfortable.

Feeling so much better just for going for a daily walk; and I went to Lidl (oooo, exotic) at the weekend. Doing *something* each day is making me feel a bit more balanced; I stopped work at 37 weeks and in hindsight it was too soon for me personally.

    I neglected my gratitudes:
Leftover curry (unheard of in this house...)
    Sunshine
Starting a new bar of soap (Waitrose "Essential" 4 pack of bluebell soap for £1.25 - bargain and lovely soap)
  • Thank you everyone.
    Forgot to do my gratitude.
Today I am greatful to free Pizza . Was very nice.

Today I am grateful for a night with far fewer dreams (I talk in my sleep, and get up to sort out things I'm dreaming about!), for a good day at work, for feeling relaxed, for surviving the gdpr meeting, for dh buying my fave sausages for tea - and cooking them, for getting more marking done, for dd's trip up the road for a dance sesion actually being about the ATA - women flying/moving planes in WWII -much more interesting, for moving a chair to the fence and putting the potted cmas tree on it as a little more screening (tee hee)

Yes was a spend day - STBEXH got the McDonalds and I got the drinks from Costa!!

Today has also been a spend day as nothing in for lunch and no squash in the house so got enough for the week.

Hoping next few days will be NSD's.
  • Evening everyone,

Not much to report today. Went for a pre-planned lunch with my sister bringing my social spends to £36.58/£150.

Checking in with #8NSD. Have avoided going shopping for as long as possible but will have to venture there tomorrow.

Grocery budget looking healthy, clothes and pets less so but have kitted out a growing DS with needed uniform & summer wear and stocked up for the cats.

A question to all you resourceful turtles - has anyone had experience with Z33k the gift voucher website - I've accumulated an amount of cashback and the pay-outs are higher for this particular outlet.
I'm trying to maximise my spending power as I have a Uni starter in September to kit out and am looking around for best deals.

Gratitudes lovely weather to dry washing outside, cups of tea, friends&family.

Thank you mothernerd - though it is best for you all if I *don't* sing, no matter how far apart we may all live...

I did exchange a few brief words (I must admit deliberately brief) with an elderly man on my walk, I'm not sure what's wrong with him but he seems lonely as well, I see him around a lot. I suspect most ignore him completely. I shall use that as my "smile at strangers".
